The Neighborhood:

Located in the heart of York, it's just a 5 minute walk to the city centre, where you will find an array of shops, bars, restauants and historical attractions. York Minster, the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe and the Jorvik Viking Centre are just a 10 minute walk away, whilst York Castle Museum can be reached in just 20 minutes on foot. You are also well placed to access the historic city walls, which you can walk around and get the best view of the city free of charge. There's also an Asda and a large Morrisions supermarket just around the corner from the apartment.



Getting Around:

Being so centrally located, most areas of the city are easily explored on foot. Should you wish to rest your legs there are bus routes that service the nearby main road, and local taxi services. The main York Train Station, with links to other UK cities, is around a 25 minute walk away, or a short taxi ride.



Other Things to Note:

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics that you will need during your stay.



Hairdryer, vacuum, iron and ironing board are available.



Please note you must confirm your check in time at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival.



If you are delayed by more than one hour from the agreed time, an additional charge of £10/hr will be applicable.

Very nice stay on walking distance (via the Roman city walls) of the city center with a gated parking spot. Good coffee and a supermarket around the corner.

Some adjustments needed

The apartment is new and clean as advertised, but it lacks some privacy and comforts. The bedroom looks out on the courtyard. This is not a problem on cool nights when the window can be closed and the shades drawn.. However, on warm evenings, to get a good breeze for sleeping, one cannot close the shades, thus leaving a wide-open view into the apartment from other units in the building. Also, the chair in the living room was not comfortable for sitting. Lastly, the slope and height of the bath tub created slippery conditions. In fact, I slipped and fell one time, causing a very minor injury.
