Bookings for 2 people reserves 1 bedroom. A small extra charge for more than 2 people will be automatically included in you booking quote. This makes this beautiful apartment available for just one couple at an achievable price. It offers two spacious bedroom suites with private en suites - one called The Sand Dollar Room, and the other The Parrot Room. Also the main sitting room and a study/TV room called The Captain's Room, plus a full guest bathroom.
The attractive entrance, with comfortable dining area, overlooks the lagoon and leads to a fully-fitted kitchen with laundry room.
The large, elegantly furnished sitting room leads through sliding french doors on to an expansive covered beach front terrace offering dining and lounging areas; stylish, retractable awnings provide additional shade from the afternoon sun and has easy beach access from the terrace.
The Sand Dollar room opens to the beach-front terrace too, whilst the Parrot Room and Captains's Room, lead on to an intimate lagoon Terrace.
The magic of this home is having terraces on both sides enabling you to sit out and watch the sun set over the tranquil Caribbean sea in the evening, or to watch the boats going by in the marina where the boats are quietly berthed behind your home. Each terrace really gives a feeling of open island living where air conditioning is rarely needed although available.
Designer decorated and furnished to an award-winning standard, this distinctive property enjoys breathtaking, uninterrupted views.
The main ocean front terrace has easy beach access via a private stairway. Although can be accessed using the lift at the entrance. One of the suites also opens to the beach-front terrace, whilst the other and study/TV room, lead on to the intimate lagoon balcony.

Heavenly views of the aquamarine waters almost overwhelm you the minute you enter the sitting room, which has has 2 huge comfy sofas and 2 armchairs. Through the large sliding French doors, you enter the Sea Terrace which offers a delightful area for outdoor dining, overlooking the beach, the aquamarine seas and the reef which makes for wonderful snorkelling, just feet away from the door
The Kitchen is well appointed with fridge freezer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, liquidiser and all required to help you create delicious meals using fantastic local produce and freshly caught fish from the nearby fish market. The kitchen opens to the dining terrace, which is cooled by the trade winds. The Laundry room with Washing Machine, Dryer, Ironing Board and Iron and butlers sink tucked away adjacent to the kitchen.

The Sand Dollar Bedroom has a large king size luxury bed and is equally roomy with plenty of wardrobe space for all your favourite island attire, This bedroom has its own beautifully equipped marble bathroom with shower, two washbasins and a bath..
The Parrot Room Bedroom also has a large king size luxury bed and is equally spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and a private enclosed veranda with sun loungers. It has its own marble tiled full shower room, and an adjacent marble tiled shower room. His and Hers if wished!

The bedrooms are provided with Luxury Peter Reed 5 cord cotton bed linen and White Company bedding and waffle cotton blankets and towels. Bathrobes provided.
8 hours weekly maid service is included. A safe is available in the apartment.

Port St Charles residents has a swimming pool conveniently located on the Sunset Isle in the middle of Port St Charles marina and accessible by foot or Water Taxi. 2 tennis courts, a gymnasium, sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, the water taxi at your beck and call to transport you to anywhere within Port St Charles, the Sunset Isle with Pool, and seasonal Bar and Restaurant. You also have the option to use Port St Charles Yacht Club and Restaurant now called Pier One.
There is also a Hair and Beauty Salon called Headmasters.
You can also enjoy beauty of the tropical gardens. The
Lagoon abounds with turtles and sea life and the off shore Reef is colonised by coral, sponges and myriads of tropical fish. Perfect for snorkelling.

Why we chose Port St Charles

We fell in love with Port St Charles the first time we drove past the gated entry in 2002. We were exploring the Northern part of the island, and just had to stop and view this delightful place. Construction was still going on, but the place was so beautifully managed it didn't matter.

We viewed several apartments, but the added bonus of being close to the water left us with no option but to choose Baliceau 271. We have had no regrets since. The ambience in the apartment and in Port St Charles is so relaxing and refreshing. It is a delight to walk around Port St Charles taking in the beautiful tropical gardens and being engulfed by the heavy scent of flowers. We are also so fortunate to have one of the best swimming/ snorkelling/ sunbathing beaches on the island, and despite all beaches in Barbados being public the beach at Port St Charles is never busy.

Fantastic

We have stayed at Port St Charles a few times previously in other apartments overlooking the marina and really like the beach and other facilities at the complex. This apartment was by far the nicest that we have stayed in due to the beachfront location with lovely views and direct beach The artwork, furnishings and linens made in the apartment made it feel like we were guests in luxurious private home rather than a holiday rental. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with. Highly recommended!

Perfection!

A stunning apartment in a stunning resort. No complaints at all everything was just perfect. The views of the ocean and marina are beautiful. The apartment is so elegant and luxurious equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beach is steps from your terrace with beach furniture set up for you each morning. There’s a water taxi to get you around the resort to the pool and restaurant , Pier One. A short stroll along the beach is Speightstown with bars, restaurants and local shops. We had a car for our stay but you can get local buses and taxis. Certainly will be returning. We have visited Barbados 27 times, stayed in some beautiful properties but Nicola’s apartment has set the bar very high for future visits.

Paradise Found

This Port St. Charles apartment is lovely. Very tastefully decorated with beautiful furnishings and art. There are multiple outdoor areas to enjoy. You can choose the marina side which has a dining patio for candlelit dinners or you can enjoy the chaise lounges on the Parrot Room terrace. Or, head over to the ocean side - where there is a huge terrace with another dining area, an outdoor sofa in one corner and a conversation area with seating just outside the main doors of the living area. These glass doors open up completely to afford a breathtaking view of the ocean - beautifully framed by the arched architecture of the terrace. The view is like an ever-changing Caribbean scene - blue sky, golden sun, turquoise waters and manicured blooming trees and flowers. The resort is very well-maintained: the landscaping is constantly being watered, trimmed and coaxed into perfection by the landscaping crew. The interior of the apartment is very clean and the linens are sumptuous. Glenda, the housekeeper, does a fine job of keeping the interior in great shape. One additional thing which made the stay more enjoyable for me: the owners have many books about the history, architecture, environment and culture of Barbados for folks to access. Reading these books made me "connect" with Barbados on a deeper level which made my experience more rich and full. We enjoyed some great local Bajan cooking at Mertons and Fisherman's Pub. Had lovely meals at the Fish Pot and The Tides. Shopped at the local grocery stores and bought fish from a fish market in Speightstown. Took a taxi tour around the island on our second day in Barbados which helped give us our bearings. Went to a Farmers Market on Holders Hill on Sunday morning. Toured St. Nicholas Abbey which I would recommend. Watched the sugar cane blow in the breeze. Enjoyed the resort beach which is very pretty and clean and offers great snorkeling. Met a lot of really friendly local folks which made the trip extra special. So, what else is left to say? The apartment is wonderful and beautiful and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean are waiting for you just outside the door!

The most beautiful, comfortable place to spend a week or a month. First class accommodations with all the amenities. Quick, private access to the beach which is only steps away. Spotless and very classy. We will be back!

Exceptional property in lovely location

The property was exquisite. We have stayed at 15 properties on Barbados, and although each has had its charms, this apartment was second to none for elegance, comfort, and amenities. The beach is lovely for swimming and snorkelling and the resort maintenance and staff helpfulness were excellent. The walk into Speightstown was great and we did not miss having a rental car at all. Nicola was the most helpful and pleasant host I have dealt with and we only wished we had booked for a longer time. I hope to return to this lovely family home.

Beautiful apartment overlooking the ocean

We recently stayed here on a trip to Barbados in November 2018. Gorgeous apartment with large terrace overlooking the ocean. This is one of the few apartments that overlooks the ocean. We were steps to the beach which was very quiet and only for residents and guests of the Port St. Charles marina. Security would set up chairs and umbrellas for us. A short walk into Speightstown and a short bus ride into Holetown. We were able to do scuba diving with "Reefers and Wreckers" right off the beach. Very cool experience. Would recommend this apartment and Port St. Charles.

A Bajan Idyll

This was our third consecutive annual stay in this beautiful apartment and location, which deliver a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. There are several excellent places to eat within a 15 minute walk. The home reef is a lovely place to swim and snorkel. Which is why we have booked again for 2019!

Stunning apartment and location

Really beautiful apartment, that is used by the owners, so has everything you need for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay (eg a wide variety of kitchen equipment, snorkelling equipment, beach towels). It’s in a prime spot in Port St Charles with balconies on both sides, both very comfortably furnished, which enables you to enjoy the sun all day. Being able to sit on the sea balcony, and also in the master bedroom, and see and hear the sea is absolutely gorgeous. Nicola helpfully provides pre arrival information as well as in apartment info which includes recommendations such as The Orange Street Grocery in Speightstown which is a must visit (short walk along the beach) where you can enjoy delicious breakfasts, pizzas and salads. Also Jodie’s details - who offers the most amazing deep tissue massages. The beach, with loungers and umbrellas is very pretty - turtles swim regularly the other side of the bridge to the yacht club (which offers great food, drinks and service as well as another place to sunbathe with a pool and steps into the sea). There’s also a pool in the centre of port st Charles for residents use. It’s a beautiful apartment with fantastic direct access onto the beach - everything you could need for either a short or long term rental. Hope to revisit soon xxx

Paradise found - true barbadian luxury

It's when you find gems like this that you ask yourself....why oh why would you ever want to stay in a hotel room, when you can stay in such a beautiful hugely spacious penthouse with dreamy sea and marina views with a beach to die for, like this. I have visited practically every beach in Barbados and can honestly say this is the best, crystal clear and calm swimming beach on the island, and possibly one of the quietest. With the added benefit of being able to swim with the wild turtles. This penthouse is very tastefully furnished and kitted out. If you appreciate good quality sheets and towels, know a jo malone candle when you smell one, and demand only the best in mattresses, then you need to stay here. The huge terrace overlooking the sea is stunning (pictures do not do it justice), and the terrace on the opposite side, overlooking the marina, makes a lovely change of vista, plus a nice area to take breakfast. Dial 4444 on the phone and a boat collects you to take you to the yacht club, dial 4444 and the beach concierge will put loungers and umbrella on the beach for you. All you have to do is walk down a small flight of steps onto the beach, through your private gate, where you also have your own shower to rinse off the salt water after your swim. Snorkels, masks and flippers are in the apartment for you to use. If you want to swim in a pool, port st charles has two outdoor pools you can use, plus the most amazing, HUGE, air conditioned gymnasium - all free to use. The other plus is where it is situated, just on the outskirts of Speightstown - one of the few places on the west coast that still feels like the REAL barbados, where you'll mix with locals, see the charming old fashioned buildings, shop with locals, buy fresh fish on the side of the road from the fishermen as they bring it in, but also benefit from some lovely restaurants, a deli and great bakery, all just a short stroll along the beach. Bliss. So if you are hesitating, all I would say is DON'T - you certainly won't be disappointed. We can't wait to go back.

Perfect Holiday Rental

I cant begin to describe how fantastic this property is. Spacious ,well maintained and everything you could need. Some properties can feel a little sterile but not this one. Its comfortable and felt like home from home. All the rooms including the bathrooms are spacious and airy. The views from the Seaward balcony are stunning , overlooking the beach and Caribbean sea, whilst the rear dining area/balcony overlooks the marina. The gardens are very well maintained as are all the communal areas. Nicola the owner was a pleasure to deal with, even taking the time to check everything was ok on our arrival. Five star on everything

Luxurious apartment, fabulous location

We only spent one night at the apartment but it was a lovely experience. The apartment is clean, tidy and very impressive with extraordinary views out to the sea and the beautifully kept gardens and swimming pool. There were only two small comments we would make. When you are spending that amount of money I would have expected tea, coffee and basic food to be complimentary. There was a note requesting us to replace anything we had used which, when you are staying one night is a bit much we felt! Also even though we enjoyed our stay very much we did not feel 100% comfortable. I think this was due mainly to the copious notes left on 'dos and don'ts' which we understand had to be there up to a reason but we felt we had to watch ourselves. Having said this we would not hesitate in recommending the apartment and its location.

A little piece of heaven on earth

Our impression of this vacation property was nothing short of superb, we arrived in the later evening and when daylight came we could not have been more please. The apartment had every detail covered from appliance to beach towels! Cleanliness was top drawer and the information package that was left for us by the owner left really nothing to the imagination, where to eat where to play golf, tennis and to shop. For dinner Tides and or Lone Star were perfect for us. We"ll be back!!

Paradise Exists

The booking process was easy & Nicola, the owner, provided such a lot of information that proved very useful on our arrival. The apartment is beautiful. Such a homely feel to it. Decorated so tastefully. Everything you need is provided. The views from the terraces are spectacular, especially from the beachfront. Just laying in bed listening to the sea lapping against the shore is so special. The housekeeper, Glenda, is a real gem. So helpful & kind. Port St Charles has a welcoming feel to it. All the staff are very helpful except for one beach guy who was a bit sullen. The place is so relaxing & the beach is only a few steps away. Beautiful beach & not busy at all. Just contact reception & you have an umbrella & loungers ready for you on the beach. The water taxi over to the Yacht Club is great. Lovely to have a drink there or a spot of lunch. I would certainly suggest hiring a car to explore the island. There aren't many amenities within walking distance so a car is useful. There are many restaurants within a few miles so you can get a taxi. We loved a restaurant called 'The Fish Pot'. Only a couple of minutes drive. Food is fantastic & views spectacular & a little cheaper than some of the high end restaurants. We generally went out at lunchtime as we loved eating on the terrace watching the sunset & listening to the sea. You can also walk along the beach to Speightstown. Takes about 15 mins. Keep a look out for the turtles!! All in all we absolutely loved our holiday. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. If you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful & breathtaking holiday then look no further. Thank you Nicola, it was a privilege to stay.

Fantastic Apartment

Fantastic apartment in a great location at Port St Charles. Pictures don't do it justice just steps from the beach and marina at rear. Great to have the yacht club so close as its got a great pool and bar/ restaurant and water taxi to and from. Everything as advertised, impeccably clean. Good communication with owner. Apartment highly recommended.

A lovely home on a beautiful beach

Rather than paraphrase the other reviews, let me just say they are all correct in every respect. We had a lovely holiday here, and the best compliment I can give is to say we are rebooking for 2017.

Wow! Stuning, luxurious property and location

Wow! This really is a stunning fabulous luxurious apartment. The views are amazing, right on the beach front on one side and lovely marina views from the back. The apartment is large and with an enormous balcony on both sides. The apartment is beautifully and tastefully furnished, it certainly feels like a luxurious home rather than a rental apartment. The description and photos are accurate. It is a very special location. The rooms are all spacious, everything you could think that you might need is here to use. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. It has a calm relaxed chilling feel. We used the water taxi to hop over to the very good value PSC yacht club to eat and drink some days. Speightown is walking distance along the beach. Amazing place - do not hesitate to book, you will not be disappointed. Great communication and information from the owner. Loved it and would definitely return.

Beautiful property, overlooking the beach.

Smart, well-appointed, beautifully decorated, spacious apartment, with stunning beach views. Thought has been given to requirements for visitors' comfort and convenience. Clean and well-serviced. A pleasure to stay there and would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends.

A beautiful apartment on the beach.

This is a beautifully appointed apartment overlooking the beach on one side and the marina on the other. The apartment is very clean and very well organised. It has a home from home feeling about it. It was nice to have a welcome pack in the fridge on arrival. Although we did not cook, the kitchen is fully equipped, should you want to. The bedrooms are light and airy with comfortable beds, nice bed linen and lots of wardrobe space. There is also a safe.The bathrooms are beautiful and there were plenty of towels. We had a maid coming in two mornings a week, cleaning and changing linen. The apartment is situated on one of the best beaches on the island. We were very well taken care of by the beach staff, providing loungers and umbrellas. The Yacht Club nearby provides good food and drinks but should you want to venture further afield, there are some fantastic restaurants on the island. For this you will need transport though. We booked the driver who picked us up from the airport for the evenings we were going out. The apartment is decorated and furnished to a very high standard, all in all - a delight. We would love to go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Why they chose this property

Owned by Mark and Nicola Aldridge. We fell in love with Port St Charles the first time we drove past the gated entry in 2002. We were exploring the Northern part of the island, and just had to stop and view this delightful place.
We viewed several apartments, and finally chose this one on the Beach. We have had no regrets since. The ambience in the apartment and in Port St Charles is so relaxing and refreshing. It is a delight to walk around Port St Charles taking in the beautiful tropical gardens and being engulfed by the heavy scent of flowers. We are also so fortunate to have one of the best swimming/ snorkeling/ sunbathing beaches on the island, and despite all beaches in Barbados being public the beach at Port St Charles is never busy. We also feel it is an added bonus to be near Speightstown which is a ‘locals’ small town (more like a village). It is not commercial, and we are away from the busy touristy areas of Barbados. Despite that we can hop in the car, on a bus or in a taxi and be down in the ‘action’ further south in minutes.

It is open and spacious, light and airy, and feels just like home - having all the facilities and equipment you would expect in your own home - if not more.
