About this property
Breathtaking Views from Mountain House overlooking Ashley Lake
Located on 40 acres, this 3 bedroom - 3 1/2 bathroom recently constructed house is located on the mountainside of Ashley Lake. Stunning views from all rooms. Quality workmanship with high end finishes throughout. Master bedroom located on main floor with two additional bedrooms located downstairs. Downstairs bedrooms open to the patio with direct views of the lake. Open design with kitchen and great room that lead out to a large wrap-around deck with table and chairs for sitting or eating outside. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counters and a large island with seating for five. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (two of which have bidets). Property is located about 25 minutes from Kalispell which is just the right distance from civilization. Forest service lake access (for kayaks, etc.) is just 1/2 mile from the gate. Ashley Lake, with its emerald blue waters, is one of the most beautiful lakes in Montana. Recently installed WiFi. If you are looking for a place that provides solitude in a breathtaking setting this may just be the place. Long term rentals welcome to someone who will take care of my home like it was their own. I love kids and have one of my own but don't think it is the right place for a family with small kids. If you are looking to get away and recharge I think you will notice a physiological change once you spend some time at this magical place. Please note that the absolute maximum number of people I will allow is six and I would prefer five or less. This is not a party house. If you are looking to bring a large crowd (more than six) please find another VRBO. The house is new with high end finishes and I have no interest in renting to larger groups.
Please do not eat in the bedrooms or while seated on the living room furniture which is new.

Brand new mountain home with incredible views in a park-like setting...perfect!
I just spent a little over a week at this brand new home, and it was wonderful! The best way I can describe it is, it’s as though you are living in Glacier National Park! The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful, the home is on a very large piece of property with abundant wildlife and places to hike and explore, Ashley Lake is an easy walk and provides postcard-like views from virtually the entire house, it is serenely quiet and provides wonderful solitude. Add to that the fact that Kalispell and Whitefish are only 20 to 30 minutes away with the Park being an hour away, and you have the makings of a perfect vacation! Robert was a pleasure to work with, especially since my schedule changed a bit while I was out there and ended up staying a couple of extra days. I just can’t recommend this place enough. And on top of all that…it had some of the most comfortable sheets I’ve ever slept in. I went home and bought a set for our house!

Why they chose this property
It was no easy task building this house on the side of a mountain. Most homes on Ashley Lake are located on the lake. The serene setting with views of the forest and lake will captivate you. They call it Big Sky for a reason and if you enjoy looking at the stars this is certainly the place to do it. Plenty of wildlife to view.
What makes this property unique
This truly magical setting is meant for the traveler that appreciates nature and is looking to relax. The property is located about 25 minutes from Kalispell and about an hour and fifteen minutes from Glacier National Park. There is a knoll located behind the house that you can hike up to. The view at the top of the knoll offers 360 degree views and it feels like you are on top of the world. Plenty of wild strawberries and huckleberries available for those willing to look for them.
