There's an open plan kitchen & living space, access to a gravelled garden. Also off road parking for 3 cars.

A short drive off the A42, the village enjoys two pubs within a short walk and lovely countryside. There's a host of attraction within a short drive.

Family get away

We had a great stay in this little village. So relaxing after staying a few days in London. It was fantastic having the Pub steps away.

Everything was as described. We went for a wedding and appreciated the little extras like two hairdryers and a straightener. We brought a lot of stuff with us for the kitchen that we could have left at home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Communication was perfect, not over whelming us with emails or instructions just those that we needed when we needed them. The place was very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. If we ever have another wedding in the area we will not hesitate to use this again. Having three bedrooms and a pull out sofa is great. We only used two of the bedrooms so it was nice to have the third to hang clothes and have the extra changing room. We did not use the sofa bed either but nice to know it is there. There is a pub a few houses down, we did not get to it but it looked great. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely Accommodation

We used the gatehouse as a base when meeting up with family for the weekend. The accommodation was bright, living areas spacious and very clean. Host was easy to contact & helpful.

Family vacation

Appleby Magna is a lovely home situated in a lovely town. Paul always communicated with us quickly and timely. We had everything we needed and it was a perfect fit for our family of 6.

Lovely Cottage

Had a lovely stay here over new year. The cottage is lovely with everything you need for your stay. Unfortunately we couldn't do the walks we wanted due to the weather but still managed to get out and about. The pub next door is dog friendly and does lovely food.

Excellent cottage, just perfect.

We stayed at Paul and Hayley's cottage for quite a while waiting for our new house to be ready to move into. Appleby Magna is such a great location, lovely pub next door (no it's not noisy!) and our hosts for the cottage couldn't do enough. And with the Spire View Spa on the same grounds, also owned by Paul and Hayley, what more could you ask for! A perfect stay, in a lovely cottage, in a pretty village with super hosts.

A gem in a lovely village

Delightfully decorated with excellent facilities. The towels were super soft as it brand ne. Kitchen amenities and the ability to have a secondary door to close off from bedrooms gave greater privacy. Lots of fab walks, historic location with some very old buildings. So much to do. Highly recommend and will return
