About this property

Homely cottage & garden with mountain-view.

Fron Gadair Holiday Cottage holiday let by the Moelwynions. Sam & Michele's 2 bed cottage is the perfect base to explore Snowdonia National Park, Wales, UK

Retreat to this homely Welsh get-away, lace-up your boots before the town wakes-up, and hike/climb/mountain bike straight into the Moelwynion mountains from the front door. Drive to the base of Snowdon and climb it via the jaw dropping knife edge ridge of Crib Goch 🏔.

Hire a kayak at the National white water centre or a fishing boat at Trawsfynydd. Come as a family and experiencing a drive-on beach at Black Rock sands, the next day check out tree top nets at the Zipworld forest or adventure park Snowdonia ninja assault course before taking a steam train through the hills!

Or failing that, just bring some drink of your choice, get the fire pit roaring and gaze up at the constellations under a blanket!

Fron Gadair Holiday cottage is located in Manod, Manod is a quiet area on the edge of Blaenau Ffestiniog next to the countryside, a uniquely charming and budding town that's recently been awarded UNESCO world heritage status. With mountains, forests, lakes, rivers & adventures on its doorstep, and the the seaside less than 20 minutes away, this is the perfect space for you and your family.

The space
Fron Gadair Holiday Cottage holiday let by the Moelwynions is a Homely and rustic quarryman's cottage, it is the base for adventure or rejuvenation, it has a private garden with a mountain-view. Downstairs, this cottage has a lounge with TV/DVD/PlayStation 3 games console (The PlayStation has a Blu-ray player and also Netflix) and electric fire, well-equipped kitchen/eating area and bathroom with bath and shower.

Stairs lead up to a cosy main bedroom and the second bedroom with bunk bed. At the back of the house a rear door leads to the private garden space where steps lead up to a grassed area and patio/eating area looking out onto the local mountains Moelwyn Mawr and Molewyn Bach.

Other things to note:
We know you will be able to have fantastic time with a young family here, of note though, there are steep steps in the back garden that lead up to the grassed patio area and some steps at the end of the garden so very young children should be be supervised if in the garden area. Please see the later pictures that illustrate this.

The kitchen table and Wi-Fi make this an ideal place to work whilst away from home!

A comfy, cozy cottage!
A comfy, cozy cottage in a charming town. If we were ever to have the opportunity to return to Wales this is where we would want to stay. The owner answered every question quickly and concisely. Everything worked well. The town is within easy walking distance and the co-op grocery is well stocked and reasonably priced. A lovely place to stay with accessibility to many areas in north Wales a short, exciting and beautiful drive away.
