This home is nestled on a 20 acre private and gated nature reserve. The veranda provides stunning views across a valley with Miravalles volcano as a backdrop. The house is modern in design with two large bedrooms, a full kitchen, and spacious living room. Guests at Friendship House have access to the 20 acres of nature preserve with hundreds of meters of maintained walking trails. Typically seen wildlife includes monkeys, sloths, toucans and many other types of interesting fauna. The home is air conditioned, has a washer and dryer, and full kitchen. Fiber optic internet/wifi is provided, with free parking at the home.
The property is private, immersed in nature, yet only 5 minutes to town.

Wish we had booked it for longer. Dont book a guide, pay Johnaton the garder to guide you. He is very knowledgable and cares about your safety. Ask him to take you to the waterfalls across the valley, not the tourist trap Rio Cellest blue water fall. Trail around the house at dusk are a must.

Surprisingly good!!!

We booked here on our way to La Fortuna for volcano view and hot springs. And we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The scenery is beautiful with peace. We wondered around the on-site trails and were greeted by a beautiful Tuncan and a group howler monkeys, not mentioning tons of butterflies, interesting leafcutter ants everywhere. The best part for us is to encounter so much wildlife close by at Tapir Valley Reserve, Sloth Ecological Farm, and a couple of restaurants (yes! Inside the restaurants): El Sabór de Doña Carmen(best tilapia we ever had) and Restaurante y Pizzería La Terraza Bijagua. It left us wonderful memories!

Off the beaten path

Cute home and 5star clean**. The owner was great, we had to call because we were lost and he stayed on the phone and guided every step of the way, thank you!!!! We did not have to leave this property to see sloths, monkeys, toucans, etc. The view was amazing, could have been better had it not rained the whole time we visited. No tour buses. Close to hanging bridges, waterfalls, wildlife. Close enough to town for shopping and local restaurants. Just a pass through for tourists so no crowds.
