This 1 year old construction is a concrete home with log cabin look! Designed for safety and security from rain forest creatures and critters! Aluminum framed doors, screened windows, no nooks and crannies! Fully ceramic tile throughout. Hiking trails to the beautiful blue water Rio Celeste. 1 mile to Tenorio National Park and Rio Celeste Waterfalls. Great restaurants nearby. Nestled on the edge of the rain forest directly above the beautiful blue river. You're bound to see Capuchin and Howler Monkeys, an array of birds frequenting the feed out from including Toucans, Ari Caris, Oropendolas & more! You may spot a Tapir (Danta) right in the back yard! We had an awesome trip to Rio Celeste and our stay at Rick and Ashley’s Casa Familia was awesome. Great hosts and great advice on tours and Restaurants was very helpful. The house is close to everything you want to do. They suggested Johnnie as a guide and he was great. We will definitely return.

Amazing stay!

What a great way to start our journey through Costa Rica! Rick was incredibly responsive and made things easy and enjoyable for us throughout our stay. We didn’t see any real grocery stores so we especially appreciated the eggs, tasty fruit, and other items he provided. (If you want wine at home in the evening, buy some before you arrive - closest store doesn’t carry it). The home is lovely and is surrounded by a lush garden and jungle forest. The location couldn’t be better, as it is moments away from the hiking trail to Rio Celeste. Our favorite restaurant was Tapirus Paradise at the end of the street. Amazing food and friendly, attentive service at reasonable prices! We highly recommend staying at Rick’s place. You won’t be disappointed!

Jungle vibe all the way! The home is located about 1 km from the main road on a gravel road. There's very little traffic and not much noise other than the sounds of the jungle. Tropical birds, monkeys and more! Very safe and crime free area.

The home was constructed for comfort and cleanliness. Completely tiled throughout, concrete constuction, custom fit windoiws and screens along with tight fitting doors...the jungle critters stay outside!
