Flood House is a charming, thatched, Grade II listed holiday home, which will captivate you as soon as you arrive. With generous accommodation and a wonderful south-facing garden, this is simply the perfect home for families or friends to spend quality time together.
There are plenty of coves, sandy beaches and pretty seaside towns and villages to explore all along the Jurassic Coast (a UNESCO world heritage site): Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Weymouth, Chesil Beach, Lulworth Cove, Beer, and many other beautiful locations are a short drive away.
Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens, Pecorama Light Railway, Seaton Tramway and Axe Valley Wildlife Park are well worth a visit (for young and old alike!) The cottage is also just a short stroll across the meadows from the bustling Georgian market town of Bridport, which is home to a wide range of independent shops, pubs, and places to eat. Make sure you stop off at Palmer’s Brewery for a tour and to choose from a wide selection of local beers and ciders (and there’s a wide selection of wine, too).
Arrive back after a long day exploring and unwind in the hot tub, whilst dinner is cooking in the AGA, the electric oven or on the gas barbecue. There is plenty of space indoors and outside to relax on a lounger with a drink and catch up on the day’s adventures.
Whether you are looking for a relaxed long weekend or a week or more holiday exploring this wonderful area, we are sure this cosy home will have you longing to return.

VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!Our drains are extremely old and block very, very easily. We provide special toilet paper, which breaks down easily. NOTHING - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE- must be put down the toilet (except for bodily excretions, obviously!) So, please do not use your own toilet paper/wet wipes or put anything else down. There are bags provided for sanitary products and these must be used and then thrown in the bin. THANK YOU.Use of the hot tub:Please bring suitable FOOTWEAR and COSTUMES, as well as your OWN SWIMMING TOWELS for use with the hot tub. Do not use the towels from inside the cottage. Morrisons sells towels if you forget.Be aware that the outside hot tap should not be used by guests as it can get very hot. The outside cold tap is behind the BBQ and the hose is hanging behind the small shed if required. Edit Description
