Overlooking the Kyle of Durness with an ever changing tideline. Pet friendly!
Sarsgrum House was an old shepherd's cottage .We have had it extended and modernized. Downstairs there is a large sitting room, kitchen and dining room with an enormous picture window constantly giving you a view of the Kyle of Durness and its ever changing tides from the magnificent view whatever the weather. Watch it ,you can sit watching this for ages!
The kitchen has an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, double butler sink and large fridge freezer.. Plenty of storage for guests food and drink. Breville barista coffee machine, kettle and toaster.
The sitting room has a large sofa ,comfy chairs and a low table. An Aire7 wood burner gives off wonderful heat. All the rooms have eco electric heating radiators which can be set to your liking. We ask you to take the meter reading on arrival and leaving and units used are charged at the Hydro Electrics current rate. This will be sent to you at the time of booking.
Downstairs there is also a utility bathroom with an electric shower, toilet & large sink and vanity unit & heated towel rail.
There is a washing machine ,tumble drier and coat hanging rack.Iron and board there too.
Lastly the Snug has a large cushioned window seat over looking the Kyle again Two sofas, footstool, a wall TV with cable TV or enter your own ID for programs .There is a thermostatic electric fire. Books and games available .Another door out onto the terrace.Upstairs is full family bathroom with separate bath and shower. There are three bedrooms. One with superking bed,one twin and one single with pull out bed underneath. The first two have sea views. All bedrooms have blackout or room darkening luxaflette or velux blinds. All are noise reducing, insulating and energy saving blinds except in the bathrooms which are Alumitec-Pulse metallic venetian blinds.

About the host
Hosted by Gillie Elliot

My husband's family has farmed sheep up in Durness since 1908.
In 2012 the farm was split with his cousin and my Husband now runs the farm down at Rhigolter.
As a family we have been coming up to Durness since the early 70's and have enjoyed wonderful holiday up here. Our children and grandchildren come regularly too.
