Our family of 7 adults and 2 dogs stayed over Christmas in this lovely house nestled in the centre of Alnwick. There was ample parking, the information provided by as owner was great and we had an early check in on xmas eve ... bonus! Comfy accommodation with everything you need pragain
Couldn’t have asked for a better host and great property.
The place was super clean and very well appointed. The little touches of milk, tea, coffee and butter were very welcome.
The just, Emily, was fantastic in communicating with us and help us have a great holiday by accommodating our needs.
Highly recommended.
What a beautiful house! It is perfectly situated just a minute's walk from the town centre. We were 4 adults and 2 dogs and it was perfect for us. Can't fault it! Emily and Matthew left us a lovely card and a fabulous welcome basket..best ever. There were even dog treats! We had a wee problem with the heating and Matthew turned up within 30 minutes to sort it. Amazing!!!!!
We recently stayed at Dovecote House whilst my partner and I were in Alnwick for our wedding. We stayed with our two children (6 and 1) and my parents and it was a fantastic space.
Beds all so comfy, clean bathrooms, kitchen with all necessities you could need. The host was ever so helpful and communicated with us quickly and efficiently. Giving us with many suggestions about the local area too which provided us with great recommendations of places to eat and drink. The location is perfect, a super short walk between a bakers and another shop and you’re on the high street.
We had many people in and out on the wedding morning and the vast space of the house never made it feel over crowded.
A congratulations card and bottle of fizz on arrival was a beautiful touch.
Can’t recommend staying here more,
Thank you again!

We recently had a 4 night stay at Dovecote house. A lovely house set in a primal location of all Alnwick local amenities. Upon arrival we were surprised by the size of the upstairs,3 double rooms, one twin and 2 bathrooms, just what we needed for a group of 7 adults 1 child, a baby and a dog . There were a few problems with the main bathroom, a bath that empties on its own whilst full, a light that was difficult to turn off and on and a unit around the sink which wasn’t attached. That being said that didn’t spoil our stay but it could be improved. Downstairs there was a lovely entrance way with a large area suitable for storing coats, shoes and a buggy. The kitchen/ living area is relatively small but open plan and a great social area for family gatherings. We found the kitchen area to lack a few things we would expect to find in self catering accommodation including pint glasses, tea spoons scissors and given the number of guests the house accommodates we felt it lacked fridge space and food preparation areas. The general cleanliness looked good and we thought the house was clean to a good standard. However, upon us wiping up some spilled water from the living room floor we found it to be dirty and could have done with a deep clean. That been said I have still rated it 5 stars as the rest of the house was cleanAll this being said we had a lovely stay at dovecote house and we would be likely to return in the future if the problems we have identified have been rectified.
Excellently positioned but in lovely quiet square.House has everything you could need and tastefully decorated. Host was friendly and great communication.Highly recommended
