Maestro Herrador Rural House, Rural Tourism in Ubrique<br>A rural house located very close to Ubrique, just a 10-minute walk from the town centre. A fenced-in, completely private 2,100-square-meter lot with fruit trees.<br><br>Cultural Rural Tourism in Ubrique<br>The ruins of the Roman city known as Ocuri have been discovered nearby. Not far away, a fortress called Cardela was also built during the Muslim period; today it is known as the Castle of Fátima. It was conquered in 1485 by Rodrigo Ponce de León, Duke of Arcos, and in 1490 it became part of the House of Arcos. In 1501, the repopulation began, and the nucleus from which Ubrique would grow started to take shape. <br><br>By the 18th century, numerous leather factories had been established, continuing the Muslim tradition of leather goods production. During the First Republic, the town went through a turbulent period, at one point having two local governments, in a municipality where the Duke of Osuna’s estates predominated<br><br>Weekend Rural Tourism<br>There are many activities to enjoy in Ubrique over a weekend.<br><br>Visit the Leather Museum located in the Capuchin Convent of Ubrique; the Ethnological Museum located in the Church of San Juan de Letran; and the Roman city of Ocuri, where on the second Saturday of every month the Ubrique Romans Association stages a reenactment of life in Roman times. We can also visit the Church of Nuestra Señora de la O, the Church of San Antonio—where we can enjoy stunning views of the town—visit the Church of El Jesús, and take a tour along the scenic overlook route.<br><br>Rural Tourism for Families<br>The Maestro Herrador Rural House measures 100 square metres and features three bedrooms—one with a double bed and two with 90-centimeter beds—a bathroom, a large living room with a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. The living room is air-conditioned.<br><br>Outside, you can enjoy two wonderful terraces—one at the front of the house and another at the back, overlooking the pool and the mountains.<br><br>A large pool measuring 10 metres long by 8 metres wide, with views of the mountains and a spacious sun deck.<br><br>The area surrounding the pool is dotted with numerous orange trees, making it a truly stunning spot.<br><br>The Herrador Rural House stands out for its tranquility and its proximity to the town of Ubrique.
