Situated in a quiet residential area it offers flexible accommodation for couples , families and small groups of friends looking to visit our beautiful historic city. Our house is family owned and managed and has been fully renovated for September 2021.
It consists of a master bedroom with king size bed and smart TV and 2 further bedrooms with zip-link beds which can either be a king size or two singles. There is spacious first floor lounge with Juliette balcony overlooking the river, and feature 65 inch smart TV and panoramic fire.
The house bathroom has both a bath and walk in shower, with a further toilet on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, breakfast bar, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and an adjacent dining room with a large oak table and two seater sofa bed.
There are private paved courtyards front and rear with seating and washing lines. To the front there is also a large communal garden area with benches which overlook the Foss Basin where you can see swans, kingfishers and even an otter if you’re lucky.

Lovely house, we had a great time
The house was comfortable, clean, stylish and perfectly located. York is a wonderful city and 5 Lockside is literally a couple of minutes from the centre. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. There's a reserved parking place and the neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Excellent communication with the hosts.
The house was beautifully clean and well looked after and the location was spot on: walking distance to the city centre and with allocated parking.
Communication was also good, even though the hosts were on another continent at the time. Highly recommended.
This is a lovely house in an incredibly central location, literally a few minutes' walk from the centre of York. It's a quiet neighbourhood and feels safe and secure. The house is modern, comfortable and well furnished. Communication with the owner was excellent and everything went very smoothly. I'd highly recommend this house for a stay in York, and I hope to be back myself in the future.
