Bedroom 3: Single (3ft) Bed, Freeview TV. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack.. Enclosed, lawned garden wtih sitting-out area, garden furniture and summerhouse. Hot tub for 5 (private). Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. Donallan is set on a quiet lane surrounded by farmland and with spectacular views of the Galloway Hills and Wigtown Bay Estuary. Donallan is a traditional Galloway cottage which had been delightfully decorated throughout. The modern kitchen is open plan with the Dining Area where you can throw open the patio doors and enjoy the spacious garden. Here you can enjoy the Summer House which has a TV and bar or why not relax in the hot tub enjoying the views whatever the weather.
Donallan is ideally placed to explore everything this delightful corner of South West Scotland has to offer. Visit Wigtown, the “book town” officially designated as Scotland’s National Book Town has a wide range of book related businesses, a book lovers haven! The larger town of Newton Stewart known as “the Gateway to the Galloway Hills”, also has many excellent shops and places to eat and which is an easy walk into from Donallan. With the Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park close by enjoy your stay whether it be a relaxing or action-packed adventure. Enjoy the rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches which benefit from the warmth of the passing Gulf stream. There are many beautiful gardens to explore, including the world-renowned Logan Botanical Gardens. The area boasts many pretty little ports like Sandhead, Portpatrick and the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway nature reserve where thousands of seabird’s nests in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Perfect for walkers, golfers, and cyclists, with Glentrool, Kirroughtree and the 7Stanes mountain bike trails nearby, as well as a great choice of golf courses.
