It really is a place you will want to spend time with family and friends chatting about your day’s activities in this delightful corner of Dumfries and Galloway. Whilst you will be enchanted by the quality throughout Inverallan, outside is just as impressive! The gardens are delightful and very private so you can enjoy time in the large hot tub looking out over the landscape, and in the evenings delight in the dark starry skies – total bliss!
Whilst Inverallan is in a lovely and peaceful rural location, you are ideally located to visit the surrounding area with its abundance of beautiful places to visit. Why not drive parts of the South West Coastal 300, a stunningly scenic 300-mile road trip around the South West of Scotland? The route can be joined at any point and passes near Inverallan and takes in magical coastal routes to rolling hills and forests.
The county town of Dumfries is just 4 miles away and provides a wide range of amenities, as well as many interesting historical sites including Burns House, the home of the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, this area has many beautiful gardens to visit, including Threave Gardens and Logan Botanic Gardens, Scotland’s most exotic garden.
The kids are well entertained in the area with farm and play parks, ice cream parlours, chocolate factories and much more. Almost on your doorstep there are some supreme mountain biking and challenging hill walks, and with some of the darkest skies in the world where better to end the day than at Inverallan.
