Beautiful place with an outstanding view! The place was as described but words do not accurately describe how beautiful and spacious this cabin is. It was well stocked and the hosts made sure we knew they were just a message away if needed. The view of the mountainside was outstanding. The place was easy to find and quiet, which we find important. I will certainly be booking again in the future!

Amazing view, clean, cute decor

The cabin is located at the top of a hill with a beautiful view of the mountains. Everything looked beautiful and smelled very clean. There was a nice amount of kitchen utensils and supplies with everything you need of staying in for dinner. Couldn’t have picked a nicer place to stay for a couple!

Magical Getaway!

Cabin was very clean and comfortable, great attention given to details for a memorable experience! Very private, yet a very short drive from all the fun and summer nightlife going on downtown. Perfect for a magical getaway for 2! Highly recommended and thank you for the excellent accomodation!

Perfect getaway

The cabin and views were perfect! Definitely hope to stay again! Our trip had to be cut short because of a sick kiddo but the few days we were there were amazing. I would definitely recommend staying at this cabin. It was clean and nicely maintained and the communication from the owners/managers was outstanding.

Very nice place quiet for the most part. Only thing the view is not as open as in the picture neighbor below has four trees growing in half the view should update to current pictures of view

Mountain Comfort

When we first arrived, we were delayed on getting into the cabin by an hour and a half. Afterwards, because of very cold bathroom had running water. The jacuzzi did come on late the second night but bathroom faucet never did come on. The cabin seemed to be quaint and was cleaner than most we have stayed in. We were able to work out a little bit of refund from the owners, who seemed to be very nice and understanding.

Perfect end to a crazy week

We had a crazy week of ups and downs. Started with family drama, so we set off to explore Knoxville, servierville, pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. A couple truck break downs, a trip that had a lot of unexpected turns. Once we arrived to the cabin, all our headaches went away. This cabin was the cleanest we have ever stayed at. Love the location, and easy to find. We used the hot tub to unwind, and seen a medium sized black bear! He just walked right by the porch, later we found that there was muddy bear prints on the side of the truck. We think he was checking for food, but we didn't leave anything in the truck bed. Grilled up some hot dogs as well, used directions to clean up the next morning and hit the road to go home. My wife and I loved this cabin and we thank you for the much needed unwind to a crazy week.

Cozy cabin on a beautiful hilltop

I really that the place was great with a few exceptions….. 1 no directions on how to get the hot tub going. They recommend you turn it on when you get there but it’s a very old hot tub. It took me 24 hours to get it to work. A set of directions would have been helpful. 2 I emailed Alan and asked for help but he didn’t respond all day. We missed out on our first night there, all day the next day, before I figured out how to get it going. No point in giving a point of contact that doesn’t check messages. 3 I wasn’t to worried about the hot tub because we had a jacuzzi bath for 2 in the room. The problem was that the water pressure isn’t that great and it takes over 30 min to fill the jacuzzi and you run out of hot water before you get enough water in the jacuzzi for to 2 people to enjoy it. If these things get fixed I would give it a 5 out of 5. Because of these problems I felt I got cheated a bit and could have went with a cheaper place. I proposed to my girlfriend in front of the cabin before we went in. It made my perfect weekend less than perfect .

A wonderful getaway

Before we arrived we had plans of doing as much of the touristy things that Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge had to offer (using the cabin as a scenic home base). Once we arrived, we changed those plans to maximize our stay in the cabin. We still did some touristy things during the day, but we just loved spending time lounging around the cabin. We went to Food City for supplies and cooked all our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. Serene mornings on the porch watching the mountain change with the moving clouds. Listening to the birds and bugs. Warm but tolerable evenings doing the same. There was a TV and we didn't turn it on once! At the end of four nights, we didn't want to leave! The owners Payton, Jenessa, and Amber were very helpful in their communications with us before, during, and after our stay. The app they've made has all the info you need for things to do in the area (with free stuff), details about your stay, and check-in/check-out procedures. Finally, although we didn't see any bears (or Bigfoot), the cabin is decorated with a bear motif. We made a game out of counting the number of bears, with the number increasing each time we did it! We ended up deciding on 80 bears. If you stay at the cabin, see if we missed any. If you are looking for a true getaway/vacation but want a "things to do" option as a backup, then this is the place for you. We highly recommend Mountain Comfort Cabins!

Slightly disappointed as the cabin didnt live up to the pictures posted. Hot tub pillows had mold on them, there was no gas grill as pictured, indoor jacuzzi was unable to be used as hot water didnt work, blinds were broken, just needs a definite update overall. Bed wasncomfortable, cabin was clean, we overall enjoyed our stay, but would have booked elsewhere for this price had we known the true condition of the amenities of the cabin.

Awesome experience!

The view is amazing! Me and the wife stayed here for 4 days and couldnt have been happier. Very close to Gatlinburg and the drive to and from is really cool! We fell in love with Tennessee during our stay here!

Born and raised in East TN, I have loved the mountains for as long I can remember. I have done most of the hikes in the GSM and love camping and getting outdoors. I'm recently married and we have 5 kids all together. We all hope you have a great time visiting the mountains and would love to share our cabin with you !

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this cabin the first day I saw it. I purchased it from the original owners who drew up the plans in 1996. Most of the old original cabins in the park were 1 or 2 rooms, so it makes it a cozy cabin with everything in one big area. Perfect for 2 people to enjoy with privacy!
