We hosted this guest in our villa. Prior to arrival, a minor issue with one of the showers was transparently disclosed. The guest was informed and had the option to proceed with or cancel the reservation, and chose to continue with the stay. Upon arrival, she requested an additional discount related to this issue, and repeated this request during her stay. After review by VRBO, it was confirmed that no further compensation was warranted, as the condition had been clearly disclosed and accepted prior to arrival. The villa offers two fully functional bathrooms, ensuring guest comfort throughout the stay. On the day of departure, she requested a late check-out citing the same issue. Although not initially possible, we nevertheless extended the check-out time by one hour free of charge as a goodwill gesture. Overall, while communication remained possible, this was a demanding guest who repeatedly attempted to leverage a pre-disclosed and accepted minor issue in order to obtain additional compensation beyond the agreed terms.
