A spacious period property which is fantastically located for exploring Aldeburgh high street and beach. Sleeping up to seven guests in three generous bedrooms, this holiday retreat is ideal for family or friends wishing to enjoy a break by the sea.
Suffolk House is a light, airy property with the accommodation split over two floors. The property is accessed directly from the high street into a large entrance hall. To the front of the property is the cosy sitting room featuring a beautiful bay window which overlooks the bustling high street. After a long day of exploring and shopping, you can lock yourself away in this hideaway retreat and enjoy a night on the sofa watching a blockbuster movie accompanied by your tipple of choice. The dining room has a large dining table and an eclectic mix of wooden chairs seating up to seven guests where you can tuck into a home cooked feast prepared using fresh, local produce and bask in the summer sun through the French doors. The kitchen with breakfast area is well-equipped and includes double electric ovens, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher so there shouldn't be any arguments over who is doing the dishes. There is a further cloakroom WC on the ground floor for your convenience.
Up the stairs on the first floor landing there is a small reading nook with views of the sea for enjoying an exciting novel or watching the sunset if you're an early riser. There are also three generously sized bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room and the other two sharing the family bathroom. The master bedroom with 4'6 double bed has an en-suite shower room and overlooks the rear garden. The second bedroom also has a 4'6 double bed and a further wash basin. The third bedroom offers some flexibility in the configuration as it has a 3' single bed and a 6' super king size bed which can be configured as two 3' single beds on request. Bedrooms two and three share the tastefully decorated family bathroom. The configuration of the bedrooms makes Suffolk House ideal for a group of couples or a large, extended family.
Outside there is an enclosed patio garden with outdoor dining furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Whilst the property benefits from a prime position in the high street the garden is surprisingly quiet. The garden can also be accessed from the rear via a spiral staircase which might not be suitable for guests who are less mobile and children must be supervised at all times.
Suffolk House boasts a central location in the town with the popular Two Magpies bakery next door, ideal for purchasing fresh bread in the mornings.
