About this property
Low Nook Cottage - Newly refurbished cottage for three guests
We adore this quaint and quirky holiday cottage! Low Nook Cottage dates back to the early 1800s and is located in the small market town of Broughton-in-Furness, which benefits from three local pubs, a bakery (that we can personally highly recommend), butchers and a greengrocer that are right around the corner from the cottage.
This Broughton-in-Furness Cottage is in a conservation area so it is surrounded by many other beautiful buildings and cobbled streets and courtyards. The cottage itself has so much personality and is very popular with walkers, as the fells of the Duddon Valley and the Beaches of West Cumbria are easily accessible, and this cosy cottage is a lovely home away from home to return to after a day out exploring.
The beautiful self-catering cottage has been renovated and decorated to a high spec to include toasty underfloor heating while keeping original features like the exposed wooden beams on the ceilings throughout the cottage.
The modern kitchen has all you would need for your stay and dining space and crockery for three. With Melville Tyson's butchers and greengrocers, and a bakery around the corner, self-catering here is a breeze!
Also on the ground floor is the delightfully decorated bathroom which has a stood bath with a hand-held shower attachment, a loo and a basin.
Heading up the carpeted stairs, which have fabulously-unique handrails (they're rowing oars!), to the first floor you will find both bedrooms with their wooden floors that match the exposed wooden beams above.
On the second floor, up another few steps, is the living room that extends over the whole floor, with lovely high ceilings. Ample seating, a TV with Internet channels, and a gas-fired stove, this space provides a perfect cosy snug to get settled in the evenings.

Things to Note
Dogs are not permitted at Low Nook Cottage
Infants are welcome at the property, however, there are no baby gates, highchairs or travel cots. While the property doesn't have its own parking, there is plenty of free parking in the square, less than a minutes walk away, and on the many neighbouring streets.
There is one step into the property through the front door. Then 10 steps up to the first floor, then another 10 steps up to the living room.
As this is an old cottage it has some charming original features like low beams/doorways/ceilings, and uneven or steep steps so please be careful and mind your head and your step!
