Relax in this recently converted , luxury barn conversion with views over open fields and Burghley House. This two bed holiday cottage is perfect for either two couples or a family of four.

The full width bi-folds make for perfect indoor-outdoor living allowing you to fully appreciate the heavenly surroundings.

The space
Arriving at Linseed, you will enter the airy, vaulted living space through the bifold doors. We hope that the soothing colours and open plan living, combined with the beautiful views make you feel instantly relaxed.

The kitchen is fully equipped with integrated 4 ring induction hob, full height fridge, Lavazza coffee machine, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster.

The dining area can comfortably seat four, with the option to extend the table to seat six people if required. After dinner, unwind and stretch out surrounding the flickering log burner, or open the bi-folds and surround yourself with everything rural living has to offer.

If British summer does what it's supposed to do, take advantage of the patio seating and deck chairs whilst stoking up the BBQ. On those colder evenings, rest assured you'll remain cosy with underfloor heating throughout the whole house and outdoor blankets. Smart TVs are located in both bedrooms and the living space.

The principle bedroom features a Kingsize bed and dual aspect views over open fields. The antique chest of drawers and brass hanging rail give you plenty of space to stow all your belongings. The en-suite bathroom has the benefit of both a full size bath and large walk in rainfall shower.

The second bedroom allows flexibility, with either Superking or Twin Bed configuration. The flexibility continues within this room with the opportunity to accommodate wheelchair users. The spacious en-suite bathroom has been designed to allow wheelchair access with no steps and wide opening rainfall shower.

A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for guest use in a separate outbuilding. Cot and High Chair are available upon request.

Linseed is located at Carr's Lodge Farm and although no longer a working farm, you can enjoy seeing the 6 chickens and our gorgeous goose that live in the fenced paddock within the yard.

About the host

Host profile image
Simon is the brains behind the business and I am ‘the frills’ – It’s very much a team effort.

Together, we want to bring the life back into this beautiful farmyard and at the same time, offer a luxurious and carefully thought out holiday experience for our guests.

We first bought Carr’s Lodge Farm in 2019, then spent the first Lockdown working our socks off! Most of the buildings on the plot were derelict and the yard was certainly not an area of beauty. However, with the help of a fantastic team of tradespeople and friends, we are getting there!

Linseed Barn is the first of our projects; a two bedroom barn conversion, perfect for a week’s holiday, or a long weekend. Family friendly and also ideal for two couples or a group of friends wanting to spend time in this beautiful part of England.

Our second project has seen the transformation of two grain silos into a totally individual 1 bedroom conversion, offering a really unique luxury holiday experience, perfect for couples.

Please follow us on social media to stay up-to-date with our exciting developments. @stamfordholidaycottages

We look forward to hosting you soon.

Best Wishes,

Georgiana and Simon

Why they chose this property

Both Simon and I are from the Stamford area and have lived here for all of our adult lives, so it really is home.
Stamford is such a great place to love and visit. Just an hour from Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester and London is 50 minutes by train from Peterborough. We are surrounded by fields and enjoy the rural views and outdoor way of life, but the proximity to town makes for the perfect mix in our minds!

What makes this property unique

Linseed Barn was specifically converted to become a holiday cottage, meaning that the layout is idea for couples staying away together. Both bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms and with the main living space separating the two rooms, everyone can have their privacy without being overheard.
The kitchen is also fully equipped so that guests can cook a Sunday lunch for 4, or simply boil one of the freshly laid eggs for breakfast.
