Clean, comfortable and gorgeous view

The house was great! Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, view was spectacular! Host should change the description, however there is no pool.

Good and bad

House and setting beautiful. For over $1200/ a night it was a little hard to take things like no hot water in one of the bathrooms and not having a pool as advertised. I asked about fishing poles before I got there and they told me there would be four poles. There were two and one wasn’t even usable and I repaired the other. They did bring two more poles but they were both in rough shape. I ended up getting the stuff I needed to repair the two original poles. The water and ice did not work in the fridge and they refused to even acknowledge it when I said something. The person staying upstairs had a toilet with issues and no hot water. I would not be so harsh except for the lack of response with issues. None of these things prevented us from having a good time but at this high end price we expected at least the listing to be accurate. It did have a hot tub but that is far from a heated pool. They refuse to change the listing for some reason since I’m not the first to say something about it.

Inaccurate description, uncooperative hosts

We booked this property 4 months in advance primarily because it had a heated pool and was on the water. A couple weeks before our arrival I got an email from the host stating that the pool was no longer available. It turns out that the pool was actually next door and they built a fence blocking it. They said they would adjust the nightly rate to be less as soon as we checked in to account for the missing pool. We were there for 5 days and on the last day I asked them about the refund and they said they couldn’t do it until we checked out. It has been 2 weeks and they will not respond to my calls nor calls from VRBO customer service. I still don’t have my refund. If you look at the listing it STILL says there is a heated pool. When we arrived we notified them that the oven did not work. It was never fixed. On the first day we saw a few rat droppings inside the house. By the last night we could hear the rats running around at night and woke up to lots of rat droppings all over the house. I called the owner and her response was “I’ve never seen rats in there” It is a beautiful property in a beautiful location, but the hosts are dishonest and don’t really know what it takes to be a VRBO host.
