Family Holiday Summer 23

We’d visited Olhao before as my sister in law has an apartment in the next building, so we knew the town. However spending a longer trip of 2 weeks gave us an opportunity to enjoy the area at another level. Quite simply fantastic, unspoiled and a very Portuguese experience. As for the property, it was first class on every level. Communication prior to arrival was great and the meet and greet from Patricia’s mother went above and beyond. The property is in first class condition, very well maintained and was spotlessly clean for our arrival. I’d recommend the apartment and Olhao for a truly relaxing holiday experience.

Great Location, beautiful Apartment, well appointed

This is a great location in proximity to Olhão old town and the Marina. Also easy driving access to Faro and Tavira. Lots of space. Patricia and her parents were great at communicating. Make sure you get exact address from Patricia as we used VRBO address and it sent us else where when trying to find Apartment.

Points of Interest: EXPLORE THE ISLANDS - A great experience in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, where you will appreciate all its nature and fauna, and will have the opportunity to know and explore three beautiful islands, Ilha da Culatra, Ilha da Armona, Ilha Deserta and the Community of Farol. MUNICIPAL MARKET- A visit to Olhão isn’t complete without visiting the municipal market (in Portuguese: mercado municipal). The municipal market is located on the street Avenida 5 de Outubro, near the waterfront. It actually consists of two markets: the fruits/vegetables market and the fish market, each with a separate red-brick building. On Saturdays, there is also an outside market on the street, with a selection of local goods, accessories and clothes.
