Great apartment in a good neighborhood! But not really a rent by owner.

The apartment lived up to expectations — clean, well equipped, attractively designed. Downside was the fact that the property is managed by an agency with whom it was very difficult to communicate. They did not make clear at the outset what the check-in procedure would be. We had to go to the agency’s office and get the key. We had an address for the apartment. They sent us an email as to where we had to check in. Having never been to Lisbon, we did not even check which address was which! Arriving at the rental property, we were under the impression that someone was meeting us there with a key. It took us an hour to figure out that that was not happening. Then another hour to figure out how to contact the office of the agency and get the information that one of us had to go to the office to get the key!
