Nice apartment in Lisbon

Nice apartment, everything was as expected from the listing. Very easy check in and check out. Pedro pointed us to restaurants and groceries which were very close by. Very busy area, even though no cars, but we like that. A very nice experience.

Lively Location

The apartment is very nice and we enjoyed our stay. It is located in a very lively neighborhood which was great, but be prepared for music and partying outside until very late. Pedro replied immediately to all communication and made sure we were comfortable.

Great location and host.

We really enjoyed the apartment and location. Two bedrooms on opposite sides, nice for privacy. Great neighbourhood, close to everything. Note the entrance is on a side street where there is no car access. It is a short walk to the church which is a good pick up and drop off point. The host was excellent regarding communication and questions. Also note, there is a Cuban bar below, so it can be noisy on the weekend. With the windows closed it’s not too bad. The building is old so you hear people walking around upstairs or in the stairway.

A month in Portugal

The apartment is located in the heart of Lisboa. Great location for people that enjoy the night life. Was a little disappointed that there was no shampoo, soap, coffee etc. to start us off but market was close by. Pedro was very responsive to our inquiries.

Great apartment

Fabulous older building with lots of character. Pedro was very responsive regarding some issues. I can see why some people might think the apartment is noisy but it never lasted late. Do your research:this is in a very fun old neighborhood where there are lots of restaurants. I loved it

Comfortable apartment in charming part of Lisbon

Pedro warmly welcomed us and showed us around. The only hiccup was the entry light into the building wasn't working during our stay but we used our phone flashlight to light the way up one flight of stairs without problem. Apartment was clean, spacious, and well equipped with excellent wifi. One set of towels was provided for each person, might have been nice to have extra but that's a minor thing. Just a note that the entire neighborhood is cobblestoned (streets and narrow sidewalks), so those with baby carriages or mobility issues may face challenges.

Terrific spot from which to explore Lisbon!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Palace in Bairro Alto. The location was terrific -- steps away from the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara and Elevador da Gloria, it was easy to get pretty much anywhere we needed to during our stay. Pedro was excellent to work with and a very responsive host. We were a bit worried our first evening when we saw the crowds standing outside our building at the bars, but the windows really did the trick and we had no noise complaints. As people have mentioned, there are lots of restaurants and bars nearby, so it is a fun location. We also liked the Principe Real neighborhood up the hill -- a little more residential. One note -- if you take an Uber from the airport, they will drop you at the square in front of the Igreja de Sao Roque (church), since there is no where else to stop. The street with the apartment is across the way and a block up. This confused both my son and my sister when they arrived, since the Uber driver said "this is it." Have your mapping app out!

Quieter then expected

Pedro was an excellent and very supportive host. He helped arrange a 3:30am taxi pick up for one of our couples. He gave us restaurant and food shopping recommendations as well. Pedro is very responsive to our questions and we used WhatsApp. We were very comfortable in this apartment and the noise complaints appear to have been abated with the double panes/dual door window installation. Yes the bar downstairs is VERY active but we only had one night - FB game where the guests were there well past midnight and full of revelry. NBD. Our recommendations to Pedro - switch the entry light downstairs to a motion sensor that acknowledges guests arriving downstairs and leaving upstairs. With this improvement also add a second light to the stairwell. It’s uncomfortably dark coming down on dark stairs in the dark. Also a roll of paper towels would be handy. Lots of warm water for everyone and comfortable beds.

Everything was great with exception that they were redoing roofing when we were there. Workers only worked during weekdays but start at 7:30 am until 5:00 pm. No huge deal. Everything else was great. Thanks for a great stay.

Alles prima in orde

Het appartement ligt op ca. 20 minuten van de luchthaven met de taxi, je wordt dichtbij afgezet. We kwamen in de nacht aan en Pedro stond ons op te wachten, waarna hij ons uitlegde hoe alles werkte. Het appartement is heerlijk ruim voor 4 personen, met 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers en een extra slaapbank in de woonkamer. Keuken is compleet ingericht. Bedden sliepen prima. De locatie is top, in het hart van de historische stad. We hebben veel te voet gedaan en soms de hop on bus of taxi of step gepakt. Bedankt Pedro!

Great location, but expect lots of noise

I liked the apartment and Pedro was most accommodating in meeting us. The main problem was the persistent base beat of the music from the restaurant downstairs. It started at 5pm and went until 11pm and reverberated throughout the apartment. Then from upstairs in the morning we could expect endless sounds of what seemed like the moving of furniture. A card with printed information about garbage and recycling would have been helpful.

Géographiquement bien situé dans le vieux Lisbonne, très confortable , très propre bien décoré

L'emplacement de l'appartement nous a permis de découvrir le centre de Lisbonne . Nous avons noté 4 étoiles au lieu de 5, car l'isolation phonique est déficiente, les menuiseries laissent passer les bruits de l'extérieur . Au niveau équipement, il manquerait juste des petites étagères dans les douches, aussi une au dessus du lavabo de la chambre arrière. Sinon, excellente literie , c'était parfait .
