About this property

Charming provençal house with private plunge pool and garden near to Grasse

Our house is situated in the village of Le Bar sur Loup which is 10 km from Grasse, the world capital of Perfumerie. The cottage was built at the turn of the century for the agricultural workers who picked the orange blossoms, violets
and olives for the Perfume industry in Grasse. Today not much has changed and the present owners still harvest the oranges and olives ! The cottage is therefore perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway. Our one bedroom house has a
queen size bed (160 cm x 200 cm). The shower room is in Italian stone and has a walk in shower. There is an open space living area with sofa bed and a kitchen diner with a dishwasher, gas hob, combo-microwave oven and
fridge. There is a TV and Free WiFi. Outside there is a terrace with an eating area under a covered vine (perfect for picking your own grapes in season!) and a sunbed lounging area. The terrace is enclosed and completely private. From the terrace, you have direct access to the small pool (1m deep and 3.30 m x 2.50) which is a converted water tank from the 1930's. Perfect for relaxing after a day of siteseeing. Cottage guests have sole use of the pool and garden.
COVID 19 - We fully clean with high temperature steam cleaner and sanitize the work surfaces, door knobs and switches between rentals.

New improvements for 2022 ! We have a re-roofed and insulated the cottage for maximum comfort. We have also totally re-landscaped our garden to make a sunbathing area with teak sunloungers next to the pool. The area is fully private for guests use only. Check out the new photos !

I am a local, born in Antibes and I love my region. I have been busy building our family home for the last few years which has been a challenging project ! We live among a large selection of orange and olive trees which require constant maintenance but is a very rewarding task. I enjoy making products from our harvests. This year I have made a special orange liqueur which was delicious.. I have also started experimenting with developing my own olive oil soap - all bio and no animal fats. My next project is to restore my ancient VW beetle .. but that's another story!

Why they chose this property

When we visited this property in May, the Orange trees were in blossom and the fragrance was fantastic that was the moment I knew this was going to be our new home!
