Benissanet is a quiet and flat town, crossed by the river Ebro. It is located in the Ribera de Ebro, one of the Ebro regions declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco. Municipality surrounded by fruit trees, is located only 3 kms. of the capital of the region. Ideal for canoeing, walks, hiking, cycling tourism (near the Via Verde de la Terra Alta). Very close to the famous areas of oenological interest such as the Priorat, Montsant and Terra Alta wineries, as well as historical enclaves such as the Miravet castle, the Escaladei Charterhouse, or the town of Siurana.
