L-Ghorfa Taz-Zebbuga farmhouse tucked away in an alley is a true hideaway in Santa Lucija , Kercem. It enjoys a very nice swimming pool. All bedrooms are ensuite and equipped with air-conditions pay per use .Fans are available free of charge.

Entrance to this farmhouse is through a wide patio leading to a big arched lounge with TV set , wireless internet and still featuring the original managers in the corners. On the same floor there is a kitchen and dining room ,a bathroom equipped with a corner jacuzzi bath giving a sense of luxury and relaxation. there is also washing machine, and two bedrooms both with shower en suite. From the ground floor to the first floor one can use either the external stairs or the inner spiral stairs.
On the first floor there are two big, nicely furnished bedrooms, both with shower en suite. The house has two sunny terraces which enjoy terrific views of the island.

We booked for seven nights but left after one, as the house was not what we expected. Good: simple checkin process; bathrooms were relatively new. Bad: the house smelt damp and there were green damp/algae stains on internal walls; the mattresses and bedding were thin, old and uncomfortable; downstairs was dark and small. Overall we did not feel it was good value for money. Other people have enjoyed their stay here so perhaps our expectations were too high.

Excellent fully equipped property. Few shops and restaurants within walking distance, or a longer walk into Victoria. We had a car but the bus stop into Victoria outside the property

What an amazing host and an amazing time

Set in a peaceful area, with very close access to public transport or a short walk to the centre, and a medium walk (or bus) to the beach, this is excellently located with a blend of privacy and centrality. Well maintained, and wonderful air con with a super pool and an absolutely outstanding host this was truly the relaxing group holiday we wanted. Would happily stay again.

We had a very nice stay

I was there with 10 friends and we had a very nice stay. The owner was very friendly and nice and showed us everything personally. Only the house definitely looks bigger in the pictures and especially the bedrooms on the lower floor are very small. Very positive for this, is the shower next to the pool and the great barbecue. Overall, however, we had a lot of fun with the house and still enough space for 10 people

Family holiday

Wonderful traditional property. Well appointed with everything you would need. Mid week clean was lovely to feshen everything up. The pool was welcome and enjoyable in the heat. 20 min walk to Victoria or easy in a taxi. Maria and Andrea were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble, really lovely people. We hired jeeps which was a brilliant way to get around the island. Would recommend for a traditional property to stay in. Wonderful family holiday. hosts,nothing too much trouble.

We had a fantastic stay at the farmhouse, and the area was exactly what we were hoping for. A quiet location but close to all the amenities restaurants and beaches etc.Maria was wonderful host and very responsive when contacted. The maid services was excellent and the property was cleaned midstay as well as before we had arrived. The pool area is lovely with a shaded area under the olive tree.I suppose if i was to identify any areas for improvement, the oven wasn't ideal and would probably benefit from being replaced, we didn't want to eat out everyday, and struggled at times to cook nice meals, however the BBQ was excellent. I was alsonsay the sunloungers are now reaching the end of there life and could probably do with being replaced soon, however they did the job and were comfortable enough. Gozo was amazing and felt very unspoilt by tourism exactly what we hopped it would be. Thank you again to Maria, we will be back next year, hopefully

A fantastic farmhouse in lovely Kercem!!

We had a brilliant week staying at Maria’s place. The farmhouse was within walking distance of a great bakery and a couple of lovely restaurants. The walk into Victoria was about 20 minutes and easily do-able! Kercem was in the middle of their festival and was always lively. The farmhouse itself was perfect for our family and we had great days in the pool and on the sun terrace. Maria was really helpful even when our flight was delayed and we arrived past midnight! Thoroughly recommend!

Great holiday

The property was lovely, clean and as described. During my 14 day stay I was there on my own, a friend joined for a few days and family members joined me for the last week. It catered for all! Close to bus stop and 20 min walk into Victoria. The pool was wonderful and plenty of space for all. The stay was made so much easier by the wonderful host who arranged several taxis to and from the airport for my visitors and provided info about events etc. There was also a free maid service provided which was wonderful mid stay. I would certainly recommend and hope to visit again!!

Good base for Gozo holiday

We are a family of 8 and we all really enjoyed our holiday in Gozo. The house was a good standard and was comfortable.The good:We all loved the poolAn en-suite in every bedroom was appreciatedThere is a lovely bakery and two restaurants close by, plus a butcher shop and little supermarket It’s walking distance to Victoria (approx half an hour)The house was very cleanThere was enough seating for all 8 of usSome areas for improvement:The cooker didn’t work very well. It was confusing to operate and the oven kept switching itself off The fridge had a broken shelf and the door didn’t always close properly so some food spoiled(Both should be replaced)The pillows were old and uncomfortable- need replacedWe noticed that most of the beds didn’t have mattress protectors. That’s a must when there are various people sleeping on a bedThe house is much smaller than the photos implyAll in all we had a wonderful holiday. Gozo is beautiful and the house is a nice base. A few improvements in the house would make a massive difference.

A truly unique experience, the property was comfortable, well equipped, clean. This remarkable property has ample space...heated water...a gas heater for chilly albeit cosy evenings..a fully functional kitchen with all the necessities.. We used the pool to chill, towards the end of each day...even though the water was cold..was a revitalising experience... followed by relaxing in the jacuzzi. The host Maria was lovely & warm...she welcomed us to the property, demonstrated everything, and also provided us with the basics (milk, bread, cheese, water)... and doughnuts on day 2...cream cakes on the last day...totally unexpected but much appreciated... As far as the location goes, you can’t beat it..it’s quiet, within walking distance to Victoria shopping centre & the local fabulous ‘David’s bakery’...I would definitely recommend a visit to this family owned bakery to try the local delights- peas patisti, cheese patisti...olive bread...olive dip...yum, and all the local sight seeing...citadel included... There are some wonderful local shops worth exploring not just for souvenirs but local produce & knitted jumpers etc...

Wonderful vacation home

Mary and Joe’s farmhouse on Gozo was just perfect for us. My husband and I stayed for 10 days and our daughter and her two daughters joined us for 5 nights . The house had plenty of room for all of us. It was very clean and well appointed. The pool was perfect after a warm day at the beach and sightseeing. We were about a 30 minute walk from Victoria, the capitol. We were also 3 doors from the bus stop which we took regularly to Victoria and then to almost anywhere on the island from the bus station in Victoria. The house was in a great, quiet location. Just a short bus ride away from all of the beaches. Mary and Joe were able to answer any questions that we had and were always nearby if we needed them. Perfect hosts. Joe helped my husband locate the church his parents were married in and baptized in. They will also direct you to David’s bakery, a short walk from their farmhouse where we went every morning for the very best pastizzi and baked goods on the island. I would definitely recommend the farmhouse. Great vacation in a great location. Thanks Maria and Joe. A vacation we will long remember.

Moderne und Nostalgie

Das farmhouse ist großzügig angelegt. Die drei Familien sind bequem untergekommen. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad, Sanitär! Die Matratzen sind in die Jahre gekommen und es wäre komfortabler, wenn auch die Doppelbetten einzelne Zudecken hätten. Ganz wichtig ist, das Küchenzubehor, wie Töpfe, Pfannen und Co zu erweitern und zu erneuern. Ansonsten nette Gastgeberin, tolles Ambiente und auch der Pool hat unseren Aufenthalt bereichert. Not as nice at is looks in photos

There arent very good views from the house as it looks in the photos. The pool doesn't receive much sun. The house is full of insects and the blankets and stuff are covered in previous guest's hair. The beds are very uncomfortable, slept on the futon sofa half the nights. It is a very quiet area though, which we wanted. I just wish the house was more comfortable/cleaner then it would have been fine.

Mérite d’être amélioré..

Superbe maison en pierre, nombre de chambre et sdb idéal.. piscine appréciée avec le climat. Les photos sont fidèles mais le réel est plus petit, la propreté à revoir (nous avons fait le ménage en arrivant) et à notre grand désespoir les cafards grouillaient dans toute la maison (préparez les aérosols dès votre arrivée)! Petite surprise : la Clim est bien présente dans la maison mais payante (il faut insérer vos pièces de monnaie pour en bénéficier). Pour ce qui est du cadre il est idyllique, proche de la ville de Victoria et le contact avec la propriétaire est au top. Elle a été de bon conseil et a facilité notre séjour !
