About this property
Viksberg Castle, built in 1667—just 30 minutes from downtown Stockholm.
Viksberg Castle was completed in 1667. It has recently been renovated to the highest standards while preserving its classic style. It offers everything you could dream of, including a sauna, a jacuzzi, and a cinema. The castle is located about 200 metres from Lake Mälaren, where there is a small beach. It is just around 30 km from Stockholm. There are three golf courses within walking distance and a large nature reserve featuring Korpberget Mountain nearby. There is a large barbecue area on the private property behind the castle.
With three golf courses, Lake Mälaren (featuring a small beach), and the Korpberget nature reserve right next door, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to relax. We’re located just half an hour from Stockholm, where you’ll find endless cultural opportunities and all kinds of ways to unwind.
Queen Kristina was a frequent guest here about 400 years ago, and other members of the Swedish Royal Family have also been regular visitors. In fact, one of the roads leading to the castle is still named Queen Kristina’s Road. A key member of the Nobel Committee owned the castle for about half a century, until the 1950s.
It is our pleasure to take care of our guests and to offer them advice and suggestions about nearby facilities and activities. We live nearby, so we’re always available to answer questions and provide assistance if needed.
