This Crete villa is in the renowned holiday region of Rethymno and has a unique style, combining traditional elements with modern elegance. It can comfortably accommodate 10 guests in its main house, 2 maisonettes, and a small studio. Originally established in the 17th century, the villa has recently been renovated to ensure guests enjoy the perfect Greek holiday experience. The living room at Byblos Villa is stylishly furnished with modern, comfortable seating, satellite Smart TV and It’s a cast iron stove, it’s not made of stone. There is a uniquely styled dining room with ample seating for guests and elegant lighting. The kitchen comprises contemporary décor and is equipped with a 4-ring stove, oven, dishwasher, freezer, fridge, toaster, microwave, orange juicer, and Nespresso machine. The holiday accommodation has 2 double bedrooms (1 super king-size bed, 1 king-size) and then 2 mezzanine style bedrooms with 1 double bed and 2 single beds each. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and share an outdoor terrace. The double bedrooms have full ensuite bathrooms and there is an additional bathroom available. Towels and complimentary toiletries are provided. The outside entertainment area of the villa boasts the only swimming pool in the old town of Rethymno, as well as a beautiful, private rooftop garden with a relaxing seating area. Furthermore, the villa offers a gas BBQ grill for guests to use and outdoor dining furniture. There is a secure parking area for visitors just 150m away from the villa. Byblos Villa offers a generous welcome pack and encourages guests to enjoy all the luxuries at the residence to ensure an unforgettable Greek holiday experience.

Byblos Villa is in the ancient city of Rethymno on the resort island of Crete, Greece. Popular Rethymno tourist attractions include walking the cobbled streets of the old town, visiting local trade stalls, the remarkable Venetian harbor, and the Rethymno Lighthouse, built in the 1830s. Archeological sites to visit include the Rimondi Fountain and the 16th-century Paleokastro fortress, as well as the renowned Archaeological Museum of Rethymno. Porta Guora, at the south end of the old town, is the last remaining part of the historic city walls. The Historical & Folk Art Museum of Rethymno is also a must-see while visiting the island. Further afield (36 kilometers south of Rethymno) is the gorgeous Preveli beach, nestled below the Preveli Monastery. Chania International Airport is 66km and Heraklion International Airport is 85km. Nearby restaurants include Syn-trofi (50m), Raki Ba Raki (210m), Asteras Cafeneio (220m), and Avli (230m). There are also bars and a bakery within 100m of the holiday rental. There are a hospital 850m away and a pharmacy 600m from the villa. The nearest fuel station is 1.5km away, while public transport (bus station) is available just 400m from Byblos Villa.
A car is necessary for your transportation. We can also organize a transfer in order to come to the villa and the day after rental cars can be delivered at the property.

This is a house and not a hotel, so please treat the property with respect as if it was your own :) 1. You can arrive at your accommodation after 15:00 on the Arrival Date of your holiday and you must leave by 11:00 on the Departure Date. But in any case, if you wish to arrive earlier or depart later than the mentioned hours feel free to contact us and we will fulfill your request if the villa is available at no extra cost. If your arrival will be delayed, you must contact us so that alternative arrangements can be made. If you fail to do so you may not be able to gain access to the Property. If you fail to arrive by midday on the day after the Arrival Date and you have not contacted us, we may treat the booking as having been canceled by you.
2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not enter the property or stay overnight in the property. Any kind of Party for more than the people staying in the property must be informed before booking the villa, which in some cases might not be accepted and if accepted extra charge might apply. In case you do so, we can refuse to hand over the Property to you or require you to leave. We will treat any of these circumstances as a cancelation of the booking by you and we shall be under no obligation to refund you for any fees already paid to us in those circumstances. Any refund will be at our sole discretion
3. Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. If however, you have any cause for complaint action must be taken as soon as possible. You must contact us if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved. It is often extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) for us to resolve difficulties properly unless we are promptly notified. In particular, complaints of a transient nature(for example: electric power issues, warm water is out, etc.) cannot possibly be investigated unless you will let us know as soon as possible whilst you are in residence. Also after staying in the property for 48 hours and we have not received any message or email from you about any broken facilities/amenities in the property, we will hold the guest responsible for any damages caused and must be paid or replaced by the guest on the spot.
4. Smoking is not allowed in the properties so we request all of our guests not to smoke in the properties but to smoke outside on the exterior areas such as by swimming pools, balconies, verandas, patios, or terrace
5. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. Cleaning and linen change is done every 3/4 days. In case you wish for the villa to be cleaned more often, it’s possible for an extra charge.
6. Pool: The pool is not covered, built to the standards of the Greek Tourism Organization EOT. Parents have full responsibility for the supervision of their minor children No children under the age of 12 permitted the pool at any time without adult supervision. When using the pool, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk.
7. Fireplace: The fireplace is working with wood. Heating for the fireplace and wood stove 30 euro per day extra charge.
8. Tenants agree to respect the property. In case of any damage that will be made, the tenants will have to pay the cost on the spot and before leaving the villa
9. The owner agrees to provide a clean home, cleaned just before the arrival of tenants. Cleaning is done by us, and changing towels and bed linen is included in the price.

Beautiful property amidst shops in old town. Quiet street but just a few minutes walk from all of the best restaurants. Lots of sleeping space for multiple groups/families. One of the bedrooms is set apart from the rest (non-loft bedroom with fireplace) and is only accessed from the exterior. Great rooftop patio from which to enjoy the cool breezes at night.

Hello there, I am Manos, owner and manager of CreteVillas4U. I have been in the hospitality sector long before CreteVillas4U, however. I was actually born, grew up, and spent most of my life in a hotel owned by my family. So, I guess it came as no surprise when I expressed my wish to study in Rhodes’ Tourism School and, later on, when I decided to start my own business in the sector. One thing I learned growing up in a family-run hotel is that hospitality is more than hotel management, logistics and operations. It is a culture, passing down from one generation to the next. You can study to be a hotel manager but you cannot study to be hospitable. I apply this philosophy in my business as well. The rule is simple: the guests of the villas I manage are my guests. As an active traveller, I expect nothing less myself. The fourth generation of Dafermos hoteliers has already been born. I know now that my two beautiful children will probably follow my steps, like I did before them. There is a small difference though: they are smarter, more educated, better (big smile).
