Town: Near the Norfolk/Suffolk border, the family-friendly town of Lowestoft sits at Great Britain's most easterly point on the Suffolk Sunrise coast, home to some of the region's finest sandy beaches and a variety of fun things to do with the kids. At Claremont Pier there's a new roller skating rink, and at Pleasurewood Hills Leisure Park, there are thrilling rides and a traditional Victorian Seafront Gardens. There are two theatres, shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars in the town, and its maritime heritage is celebrated at the Lowestoft & East Suffolk Maritime Museum and the floating "Mincarlo" museum on Heritage Quay.
