Beautiful House in Scottish Highlands with mountains and sea view

Ash House is in a stunning location on the shores of Loch Kishorn surrounded by picturesque scenery and is a fully equipped, comfortable and perfect highland holiday home.

The views surrounding us include the Bealach na Ba and the Applecross Corries as well as over to Isle of Skye. We're on the North Coast 500 Route (NC500) tucked away in the attractive village of Achintraid with enviable views all year round.

Ideal for families or couples the house is available to rent for a minimum stay of 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday.

nice ocean front home in a great location

Beautiful home, owners typically live there so it has lots of nice amenities and good kitchen supplies. Communication was great, with questions answered right away. Great location, close to Lochcarron, and with access to the beautiful Scottish coast to the North.

Very beautiful house

The house is very beautiful and is located directly on Loch Kishorn. There is nothing missing in the house and it is furnished to a very high standard. We felt very comfortable. The surrounding landscape is impressive and the Applecross Pass is a challenge for drivers.

Terrific family home in idyllic location

I stayed in Ash House with five other adults for a week prior to the Celtman Triathlon. It was a terrific base, and Diana and Milo were extremely accommodating. The house is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could need. The location is superb, situated on the shores of Loch Kishorn, with a breathtaking view of the Bealach. I highly recommend it as a base for anyone visiting this stunning part of the world.

Great house in a beautiful location

Stayed in this property for around a week while working in the area. The house itself is very comfortable with all the facilities that we required for a great stay. Modern, clean, well equipped kitchen. Great open plan downstairs living area. Comfortable bedrooms. Showers in the property are great (good pressure and water temperature which I think is really important). The views from the front of the house over the water are fantastic. Great to sit outside in the evening. Communications with the hosts throughout was brilliant. Very responsive and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Traumhaus am Strand

Die Gastgeber Milo und Diana waren so nett und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns per E-Mail mit vielen Tipps und Hinweisen versorgt und waren jederzeit erreichbar. Wenn wir eine Frage hatten, haben sie spätestens am nächsten Tag geantwortet. Das Haus selbst war bezüglich der Aufteilung, Ausstattung und Sauberkeit ein Traum. Zudem war es sehr wohnlich und gemütlich eingerichtet. Besonders erwähnenswert sind die vielen schönen Bilder, die größtenteils von einer Künstlerin stammen, die ihr Atelier und ihre Galerie fußläufig zu dem Haus hat (ein Besuch lohnt sich!). Die Badezimmer waren sehr gut ausgestattet mit hochwertigen Mischbatterien in den Duschen/Badewannen und Heizkörpern für die Handtücher, die morgens und abends warm wurden. Das größte Highlight in dem Haus war jedoch die Küche, die komplett ausgestattet ist (außer Kaffeemaschine, stattdessen gab es eine French Press) mit Geschirr, Werkzeugen, Utensilien usw. und einem riesigen Gasherd/ Ofen sowie einer großen Speisekammer für die Vorräte. Sehr praktisch war auch der Hintereingang mit Waschküche hinter der eigentlichen Küche - besonders wenn man nach einem regnerischen Tag mit den Hunden zurückkommt. Für uns - vier Erwachsene, drei Kinder und zwei Hunde - war es wirklich ein sehr schön und ruhig gelegenes Traumhaus.

We are a family of 5 who built the house to live full time. However, circumstances changed and we moved to Edinburgh so now we enjoy Ash House during the holidays and enjoy seeing others enjoy it too.

Why they chose this property

We are in the lovely small and friendly village of Achintraid on the shores of Loch Kishorn. The road leads to a cul de sac so thankfully we don't get lots of traffic. It's a great place to explore the many hills, art galleries, the Kishorn Seafood Bar, Beallach Cafe or over the famous Bealach na Ba Pass to the multi-award winning Applecross Inn and plenty more beyond.

What makes this property unique

Ash House is very well equipped with all you need in the kitchen and there's plenty of space in the house with good sized bedrooms. The back kitchen with the clothes dryer is perfect for getting outdoor clothes (or dogs) dry after a day in the hills or on the sea. The view whatever the season and whatever the weather is fabulous all year round.
