The perfect romantic hideaway, Gilly Cottage is located in the East Yorkshire picturesque village of South Cave, of great historical interest dating as far back as the 11th century and situated 10 miles south west from the popular market town of Beverley and 25 miles east from the historic City of York. Lying on the south west edge of the Great Yorkshire Wolds, an ideal location for anyone who is keen to walk or cycle the Yorkshire Wolds Way which passes through the village.

This pretty traditional Victorian cottage, sleeping three guests, offers a warm welcome from the moment you enter into the charming sitting room featuring an open fire to cosy up in front of after a day exploring the east coast. The well-equipped kitchen leads out to the decked seating area and garden laid to lawn, perfect for alfresco dining on a summers evening. When it's time for bed, retire upstairs to the double master bedroom and second single bedroom, making Gilly Cottage perfect for a couple or small family looking for an accessible getaway to explore Yorkshire.

Within a few minutes walking distance from the cottage there are two pubs, cafes and local amenities; or discover the nearby market town of Beverley and spend a day at the races, the home of Beverley Racecourse. Or travel further up the Yorkshire coast to Bridlington or Scarborough and stroll along the beach with fish and chips.
If you do want to stay local, Little Wold Vineyard offers wine and cheese evenings throughout the year or book a guided tour and tasting session, perfect for a treat.
