The Music Guest House, located in Lisbon's most iconic districts: Chiado and Bairro Alto, features eight guestrooms spread over two floors, including one single room and one suite.

Bairro Alto Music GuestHouse provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, express check-in and check-out and a private bathroom with an oversized shower, the perfect choice for a short stay.

Located next to the famous Conservatorio Nacional, a music school founded in 1837 inspired the design of the rooms to translate the music and Lisbon mood through its textures, colours, and materials.

As a 100% Portuguese company, and to give our guests a deeper taste of Portugal, we chose Portuguese brands to create this Guest House, architecture, design, decoration, ceramics, textiles, and amenities. Portuguese architects and designers created exclusive art pieces and developed a particular mood, taking the guesthouse name and location next to Conservatório (Music School) into account.

We loved this location! Easy downhill with a funicular ride up. It was an easy walk down to the waterfront..and the amazing bus, trolley ride to all of the interesting sights. Exceptional restaurants within an easy walk. The room is comfortable and cozy. What the room could use is small frig and a platform to leave your suitcase open. Definitely will be a return trip

The check in process was a bit challenging as we were told we had to check in between 4:00 and 5:00 as it would be an inconvenience to check in outside that time frame. We had plans with friends and their family so those had to be cancelled. We were given a key by someone we met right outside the building. The place was very comfortable, cozy and in a great location. It got a little noisy at night due to its location but it wasn’t for very long. We loved Copenhagen! I would stay here again, however I would prefer a more flexible check-in time frame and process.

Location was perfect for us.

We found the property to be a perfect location for us. We did get a lot of steps in going up and down hills but that is to be excepted in this area. The only thing that I would recommend is that there is 2 wine glasses added to the room. Wine just isn't the same out of a coffee mug.

Prima kamer voor een paar nachten.

Ik heb drie nachten in deze kamer verbleven. De kamer is op de benedenverdieping in een relatief rustig straatje. Je ontvangt toegangscodes op het pand en je kamer binnen te komen. De kamer oogt netjes en schoon en ziet er verzorgt uit. Je kunt ook buiten zitten op een kleine patio. Ik vond het zelf erg fijn om lekker even de deur open te gooien. Ook omdat de kamer bij aankomst wel wat muf rook. Het matras ligt goed en biedt voldoende comfort. De douche is heerlijk en de handdoeken zijn brandschoon. Elke dag wordt er schoongemaakt en schone handdoeken aangevuld. Het is een prima locatie voor als je weinig op je kamer bent. Het is niet erg groot. Maar als je naar Lissabon gaan, wil je denk ik ook lekker op pad. Er is een koffiezetapparaat en een waterkoker, verder is er geen keukengerei. Het koffiezetapparaat (Nespresso) en de waterkoker staan op een plek waar geen stopcontact te vinden is. De enige optie die ik kon bedenken was de apparaten op de grond achter het bed te plaatsen, wat kan, maar niet erg handig is. Dus extra stopcontacten op de benodigde plek zou wenselijk zijn. Ook is er maar één heel klein prullenbakje in de badkamer. Zelfs met minimaal afval is dat al te klein. Het zou heel wenselijk zijn om een grotere prullenbak in de kamer te plaatsen. In de hal bij de entree staat een grotere prullenbak maar toen ik die wilde gebruiken, zat deze bomvol. Bij aankomst was de ruimte wat muf. Wellicht kan er iets aan ventilatie verbetert. Er staat wat koffie en thee en suiker in een bakje, maar er is niets om het met te roeren (lepeltje). Wellicht kan dit ook toegevoegd worden. Dit zijn echter kleine puntjes van aandacht die het verblijf zouden kunnen optimaliseren. Het zijn echt geen dealbreakers.

Great, clean, safe stay in Lisbon!

I very much enjoyed my stay at the music guest house! It was easy to check in and out, the room was clean, had a pretty terrace, and Filipa was a great host who was assuring and helpful!
