Take a trip back in time into the swinging psychedelic aesthetic of 1960s London, when Art Nouveau and early Art Deco were the signs of fashion and rebellion.

The 2 bedroom apartment sleeps up to 5 people, located on the second floor of a private house (Ground Floor, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor), in the very centre of Mayfair. Built in the 1730s, it is one of two earliest surviving houses in this area. Modernised in 1821 by Thomas Cubitt, who built the facade of Buckingham Palace. This is a rather rare historical building in central London.

There are 30 steps from the street level to the apartment door, no elevator.

The perfect location

We loved our stay at this flat! The location was perfect and all the sites we wanted to see were in walking distance or easily accessed by public transit. The flat was comfortable and just what we needed after a long day of exploring. We would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location

This was such a wonderful find! The flat is very clean and comfortable and in an amazing location. We were able to walk everywhere from it - Hyde park, Buckingham palace, Westminster Abby... everywhere. Such a quiet, upscale location. Could not be happier with this find. Would recommend to friends and family! 5 star for sure!

Nice apartment, nice location

We had only 2 nights in London and the apartment offered a great, comfortable stay after an extra long day of travel. It is located in a nice location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The host was so helpful and very easy to communicate with.

Amazing flat!

Jacob's flat is a perfect place to stay when visiting London. The location cannot be beat! Inside the flat, the decorations are homey and stylish. The beds are comfortable and the home is incredibly clean. Jacob allowed us to check in early in the morning, which made all the difference with the time change. Would highly recommend this VRBO. Thanks for a great visit!

Why they chose this property

Along with Dunhill's Bourdon House opposite us, our home is the oldest surviving building in Mayfair, dating back to the 1730s. In 1820s it was expanded and rebuilt by the same architect who later built the iconic eastern façade of Buckingham Palace.
