One of the prettiest Pembrokeshire cottages in our portfolio in a totally secluded position above the tiny hamlet of Middle Mill in the Solva Valley. Beautiful country views, yet close to the sea, pet friendly, near many sandy beaches.

Full of character with beamed ceilings, stripped wooden flooring and is skilfully appointed and colour coordinated throughout. Relax in the comfortable sitting room with upholstered sofa and chairs beside a wood burning stove set into a pretty white washed stone hearth. Enjoy mealtimes in the charming dining room with dark oak refectory table, wheel back chairs and a traditional dresser filled with pretty China. The cosy bedrooms of this secluded holiday cottage have sloped ceilings, exposed beams, leaded windows and some period furniture including an original brass bedstead.

The cottage now boasts a large parking area by the house for 3 cars enabling easy access and the ability to turn your car round if required. The garden has also been enlarged and relandscaped with wild flower. The village shop in nearby Upper Solva, has a post office and off licence, sells groceries, papers, angling supplies and offers a delivery service within the Solva area.

A century old working woollen mill with most hospitable and informative proprietors and tearoom is 200 yards away from this secluded holiday cottage in Middle Mill near Solva, a very pretty spot for a picnic by the tumbling Solva stream. Beach 4 ¼ miles. Solva harbour 1 ¼ miles. Nearest pub 1 ¼ miles.

8/10 Good

A lovely cottage in a great location.

A lovely cottage in a great location. The accommodation was very well equipped and we enjoyed the outdoor seating area. We were very grateful for the blue folder detailing local places of interest which was really well put together and gave information about all the things you need to know, such as car parks, toilets, travelling time etc. The only downside of the holiday for us was that we all found our beds really uncomfortable - overly soft sprung mattresses. This was a shame as it was so quiet and dark at night that we'd have slept really well otherwise.

Such a lovely rural cottage.

Such a lovely rural cottage. Not like some rental properties it felt cosy and welcoming with all mod cons. It's quirky layout did prove challenging to my 6ft 3in hubby as ceilings are low but that just added to its charm. The garden is well laid out and perfect for our medium sized dog with the additional bonus of a picnic bench and grass area up the slope behind the cottage. Great base for avid walkers with plenty of areas to explore on foot. Middle Mill is a short distance from Solva where you will find a number of pubs and eateries. Fresh crab and lobster can also be sourced locally. Also, the owner, Mr Brierley, was available for any queries and responded quickly to our questions.Overall superb break in a great location.
