About this property

Grosvenor House is less than a minute from the sea front. The property has many original features with well proportioned rooms. The property has 2 bathrooms and 3 wc's. HOT TUB HIRE NOW AVAILABLE

Open the doors from the TV lounge to a peaceful, mature pagoda courtyard and garden. The high street is also nearby making it easy to stock up on provisions. Pubs and restaurants are nearby.

Lots to do for all, including walks along the beach or days out to nearby Canterbury where you can visit the famous cathedral, or Whitstable to sample some local oysters.

Herne Bay has many friendly pubs with regular live music. There are beautiful walks along the Saxon Shore Way towards Reculver Towers and the Roman Fort. Herne Bay is one for the best places in the country to find fossilised sharks teeth on the beach. Lots to see and do in the area but the house is also big enough to just kick back and relax.

There are also some great water activities in Herne Bay and Whitstable as well as plenty of great cycle routes.

Perfect holiday home

We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids, 5, 3 and almost 3. The house was perfect for us. The kitchen is well equipped. Lots of pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. Great location, a minute from the beach. We loved it. Hope to return some time.

Such an enjoyable weekend at this property, with its great location just moments from the beach. Very comfortable for our group of 8 adults, not only with the spacious bedrooms but also inside and outside dining space and sitting rooms. Host was great - helpful and very quick to respond.

Stay at 2 East St Herne Bay

What a find. Eight family and friends spent time together celebrating my husband's birthday. A warm inviting period house. Plenty of room for 8 of us. Great garden. Beds really comfortable and big rooms. We spent lots of time in the house as it felt so special. Kitchen well equipped. Very attentive host. The Ship Inn was friendly. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous time in Herne Bay, the house location is ideal for exploring - close to the beach and not far from the high street. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. Another shower would have made things a little easier, and the Ship Inn at the end of the road is not on our recommendation list(!), but these minor things did not marr our enjoyment of the house and our weekend in Herne Bay. Jo is a great host!

Why they chose this property

This property is a real gem !

The property has a real home from home feel about it and is situated virtually on the beach. The house has enough space to accommodate larger groups, without feeling you do not have enough space. The dining room comfortably seats 10 and the snug is a great place to have some quiet time or play one of the many board games.

Herne Bay has a lot to offer all generations and there is plenty to do in and around the house.
