About this property

Charming Cottage Retreat by Ferryside Beach and steps from Welsh Coastal Path

Bwthyn Bach (translated from 'little cottage' in Welsh) is a contemporary and stylish holiday home, set in the beautiful and peaceful village of Ferryside. This quaint, semi-detached cottage features a cosy living room with log burner, a well-equipped kitchen/dining room and a modern double bedroom overlooking the impressive Llansteffan Castle. Outside, a small, enclosed courtyard provides peace and quiet to enjoy a morning coffee with sunshine and sea air.

Ferryside has a local pub, The White Lion and Post Office with its own request stop train station on the Carmarthen to Manchester line. The local area around the property provides a great base for walking, as well as enjoying the amenities that Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire towns have to offer. Winter getaway
Lovely dog friendly cottage in a perfect location for us, just a minute's walk to the beach. Jon was the perfect host and his communication was excellent with us throughout the booking process, especially when we had to rebook due to flooding in the village. The cottage is pretty and well equipped and the log burner was a welcome addition at the end of a busy day. Traeth coffee shop next to the train station was dog friendly and welcoming. The only negative which is nothing to do with the cottage is that the village currently has no shop so for even a pint of milk you need to drive 10mins to the nearest convenience store. Pembrey Country park and the beach there was fabulous, there are many walks very close to Ferryside and we were lucky enough to have lovely weather to explore. :)

Amazing stay
The house was so clean and tidy, it was really close to the beach, we had everything we needed and there was a guide on things to do and where to eat. It was truly amazing.

Another lovely stay
This is the second time we have stayed at this bijou place by the sea. It is very close to the beach and is really well appointed. The property is really stylishly decorated and very comfortable.

Walking holiday
The property was clean, bright and fresh. It was very comfortable and we felt immediately at home. Everything was in excellent condition. There was a lovely welcome pack for us and clear instructions as to how everything worked. We loved exploring this beautiful part of Wales and were grateful for information on local walks.

We would love you have the best stay with us.

What makes this property unique

We are in a ideal setting for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. As well as our own little train station there is plenty to explore in the area.
