This elegant, independent home imbibes all the natural beauty of the region, along with its original rustic charm: farmhouse-style terracotta sloping tiled roofs, arches, pale olive-coloured shutters, swaying poplar trees, and views across olive groves and vineyards make this home every inch the tranquil yet tasteful haven it is.

Recently restored, Villa Il Sensale combines the rustic farmhouse theme with unadulterated luxury. The main villa and guesthouse have six bedrooms, accommodating up to twelve guests. This home is ideal for those seeking a real retreat from the bustle of the crowds and stresses of the modern world—the entire lower ground floor is set up as a self-contained spa! 

Dining al fresco is a stylish affair, with the beautiful veranda soaking up the fragrant breezes, whether it be breakfast after a swim in the dappled shade or an evening meal with abundant local wines and Tuscan produce as the sun softens over the hills.

Set within its grounds, Il Sensale is just five minutes from the village of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.

The region is known for its rich culinary heritage, including truffles, cured meats and traditional sweets and pastries. Florence and Siena are a both no more than an hour’s drive from the villa.

Close to the main cities in Tuscany know for their artistic heritage: Pietrasanta, famous for art galleries and an excellent array of restaurants, this area of Northern Tuscany is rich with culture and history: archaeological sites, national parks, castles, mountain trails and open-air theatre, guests will have ample options to choose from.

The Tuscan landscape is considered among the best that Italy has to offer, with its beautiful hills, elegant architecture, olive trees and vineyards the views at every turn are enchanting and awash with seasonally changing colour.

Security deposit?
€500 paid in cash to the owner upon arrival and refunded upon departure, subject to full inspection.

3.30 p.m. - 5.30 p.m. Check-in outside this time may be subject to an extra cost. Please enquire for more details.

Departure time?
10.00 a.m.

Energy costs included?
Yes, except air-conditioning and heating which is €300 per week, payable locally.

Linen & towels included?
Included in the rental price. Mid-week change of towels is also included.

Pets welcome?
Pets not allowed.

Changeover day?
Saturday. All other changeover days on request.

End of stay cleaning included?
No. €350, payable locally. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.

Outside only.

Minimum stay?
7 nights. All other durations on request.

Heating costs included?
No, extra €300/week, payable locally.

Italian Visitors Tax payable locally in cash (typically costs €1-€10 per adult per night- please enquire if exact amount is required).

Pool opening dates?
The pool is open approximately April to October. Please note that pool opening dates are subject to local weather conditions and pool maintenance requirements and that cooler months may not be suitable for swimming.
