With a huge games room for the kids and for the adults, a hot tub set in the half-acre wrap around gardens, there is something to entertain everyone. Multiple living rooms and kitchens give you flexibility of living options. The owners have thought of everything for guest comfort from family rooms for those with little children, to a large number of bathrooms and TVs in every bedroom. Set in the centre of Halton Lea Gate, the property used to contain the village shop, this part of the house is now a spacious kitchen and dining area. The village borders the North Pennines Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, with the famous Pennine Way walk being just to the east of the village. There are numerous walks, footpaths and cycle paths in and around the village to explore, as well as a children’s play area. On the boundary between Northumberland and Cumbria, there is a wealth of tourist attractions open to guests, including Hadrians Wall, RSPB Geltsdale Nature Reserve and Alston, England’s highest market town. For guests wishing to explore further afield, within an hour’s drive, there is Carlisle, the historic town of Hexham, Gateshead, as well as Newcastle city, with its regenerated riverside, shopping, theatres and nightlife.
