Commissioned by the owner and designed by the award winning designer Sam Booth this truly is a special place and definitely ’one of a kind’. For that extra special slice of luxury this property certainly has the wow factory. The Curve at Caerlaverock Estate sits on the hillside within the Estate with far reaching views overlooking the Solway Estuary to the Lake District in the distance. This is truly a hidden gem and in such a beautiful corner on the south west coast of Scotland. Designed and built to the highest of specifications the front of The Curve at Caerlaverock Estate is entirely floor to ceiling bi-fold doors so a moment of the view and ever changing skies is not missed. The luxury continues throughout the open plan living space from the comfortable sofa where you can sit in front of the wood burning stove, the bedroom with is sumptuous bed and crisp cotton bedding, to the stunning luxury bathroom where you can sit back and relax and on a clear dark night enjoy the stars through the sky gazing window! On a fine day you can fling open the bi-bold doors and enjoy breakfast al-fresco while taking in the views and in the evening indulge yourself in the wood fired hot tub. With no neighbours, perhaps other than the odd cow, this truly is a magical place.
Just around a mile from The Curve at Caerlaverock is the small village of Glencaple on the banks of the River Nith, and surrounded on all sides by stunning scenery and is a popular holiday spot. The village boasts an award-winning restaurant and shop on the quayside and offers a warm welcome with a cosy snug, stunning views and al fresco dining out on the terrace. The Curve at Caerlaverock is part of the Caerlaverock Estate and within 5 minutes’ drive you can enjoy a day at Caerlaverock Wetland Centre, a spectacular 1400-acre wild reserve. The historical Caerlaverock Castle is a great place to visit while in the area. This delightful corner of south west Scotland has so much to offer with many more interesting historical sites throughout the region. There are other activities to try like mountain biking, to challenging hill walks and some of the darkest skies in the world, not to mention over 200 miles of stunning and dramatic coastline with secluded little bays and sandy beaches. Visit the county town of Dumfries with some high street shops, or the smaller towns of Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright have a variety of niche shops, art galleries and excellent restaurants.
No babies or toddlers.
No children above the age of 10 years old due to the size restrictions on the pull down bunk beds.
Please note: Solar power system; USB charging points only. There is no 13 amp plug facility.
