100+ year old home has incredible views

First, I have to say Michael was an excellent host. I got sick the first night there (obviously picked up in Dublin). Soon almost all of our party was down. Michael went above and beyond to help us, from offering to pick up grocery items, delivering wood and briquettes for the fire, and even bringing a pot of stew his mother made for us. We stayed longer than we had booked because we couldnt drive, and Michael was just wonderful about the entire situation. As for the house, if you love old homes like we do, this house is fabulous. It is Michael's home. When we arrived, the fires were lit and it felt like we were coming into a family member's home filled with love. As I stated, I was sick the entire time, so I spent my entire time in Derry inside the house. The magpies woke me every morning. The views of Derry are absolutely majestic. We even had snow a couple of times while we were there. Michael came right away to fix any issues we had. I am sad that I was too sick to see everything I wanted to see in and around Derry, but I am happy that those of my group that were healthy enjoyed every second of being there, meeting the people, and spending time with Michael as he showed them around town. We will definitely go back to Derry, and, if possible, we would stay here again.

A very unique stay!

It’s not often you get to stay in a home that is 160 years old! It naturally comes with some uniqueness that isn’t typical of a modern home. Micheal is very accommodating and an excellent host!
