It is 4.5 km along the coast to the fishing village of Quilty and 3km inland from the market town of Miltown Malbay. The coastline along this stretch of Clare is wild and wonderful – wild with huge Atlantic Waves rolling in to the cliffs one day, and offering breath taking calm blue seas on another. Surfing the waves can be done from White strand beach, or play a round of golf on one of Ireland’s oldest golf links in Spanish point.
The village has a lovely hotel and pubs and restaurants serving freshly caught seafood. It is a great base for visiting the Cliffs of Moher and taking a cruise under the cliffs, or out to the Aran Islands from Doolin.
The impromptu music sessions and Irish set dancing is a regular feature in the pubs in Miltown Malbay, with the Willie Clancy Week in the first week in July a real draw for traditional musicians from all over the world.
From this spacious coastal holiday home close to Spanish Point, you will be surrounded by stunning scenery and an array of outdoor activities and amenities. Southland Holiday Home is the perfect choice for both a relaxing and active outdoor holiday in Ireland.
