Casa de Campo Arco de São Jorge

Casa de Campo do Arco de São Jorge has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower, spread over the two floors that complete the property. With a refined and country decoration, it is in harmony with the raw and rustic aspect of the stone

The ground floor has a spacious and comfortable living room, equipped with a salamander, to keep you warm during winter days, accompanied by a glass of wine and a cheese board.

You can enjoy the balcony on the property's first floor, which will surely give you several moments with perfect sceneries to publish in your Instagram stories. Outside, you have a great living space with barbecue area, where the evenings will be perfect moments to put your culinary skills into practice and impress your friends or family with delicious meals.

This house accommodates a maximum of 6 people.

Area

The property is located in the Municipality of Santana, more precisely in the parish of Arco de São Jorge. Near the property there is a restaurant "O Arco", some trails and the famous "Quinta das Rosas", where you can get to know several varieties of roses from all over the world, in a pleasant and cared space.

It takes about 20 minutes by car to get to the centre of Santana. In the same municipality, there are parks, hiking trails and the famous Pico Ruivo, the highest peak of the island.

To get to Funchal you need about 50 minutes by car

- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

We had a wonderful stay at Between the Sea and Mountains! The home was cozy with so much character. We enjoyed cooking on the BBQ outside in the little courtyard and in the kitchen, it had everything we needed. We loved ending our days on the balcony overlooking the ocean and mountain reflecting on the amazing day we had hiking. We would 100% recommend staying here!

A nice stay on Madeira. Everything was fine with our stay, very cute cottage. Few things. It was extremely humid, and had a very strong smell. We ran the two dehumidifiers constantly, but there could have been ones in the bedrooms to help with the smell more. There was a cockroach in the one bedroom upstairs, and an old car in the driveway that made getting in/out more difficult on a blind road. Overall just little issues.

Moldy lower level with damp sheets and pillows. Shower has been leaking for years (see Google reviews). Lower level woodstove broken and unusable. Lower level cold and unhealthy therefore, so our daughter slept upstairs, sharing a room with her brother and his wife (with a mattress on the floor). Host provided now, dry sheets for her but not a dry pillow. The nightly scratching/pecking in the ceilings kept us awake. Rats? There are three rat traps lining the house’s perimeter.Ultimately, we used 2/3 of the house. VRBO says it will take our concerns under advisement as a health and safety issue. As an aside, if you are not agile or a wide guest, beware of the steps to the lower level. They are narrow and steep.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in wunderbarer Umgebung

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet ausreichend Platz für Entspannung und Erholung auch für Familie oder kleine Reisegruppen in einer wunderschönen Umgebung in der man aktiv Land, Leute und vor allem die Natur genießen kann. Wer nicht selbst kochen möchte, fußläufig findet man auch Restaurants.

Het huisje staat op een mooie locatie, er is wel achterstallig onderhoud. Hygiene is verder prima.

Wirklich nicht das Geld wert

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht von der Unterkunft. Es roch die ganze Zeit modrig, obwohl wir zwei Entlüfter permanent laufen ließen (was sehr laut war). Im Dachstuhl leben Ratten, die die ganze Nacht unterwegs sind. Wir sind mehrfach davon aufgewacht. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist in so schlechtem Zustand, dass man kaum kochen kann.

Aufenthalt bei Casa de Campo Arco de São Jorge

Das Haus liegt im Osten der Insel Madeira. Mit dem Auto ist das Ferienhaus gut erreichbar. Es liegt an einer leichtbefahrenen Strasse. In der Nähe befindet sich ein gutes Restaurant. Die Räumlichkeiten waren sehr sauber. Die Küche ist etwas mangelhaft ausgestattet. Für grosses Kochen reicht es leider nicht aus. Betten sind sauber und bequem. Balkon hat schöne Aussicht. Das Haus hat Charme und ist auch für längere Aufenthalte geeignet. Wir haben die Zeit in Madeira genossen.

Nice house with sea view!

Séjour dans les montagnes

Hébergement situé dans un petit village de montagne, des routes sinueuses pour y arriver, mieux vaut avoir louer une voiture. Le chalet est propre et bien équipé. Nous avons passé un bon et agréable séjour. La côte de ce côté de l’île est très belle et verte.
