Description: Situated atop a mountain, at Echota on the Ridge, is this lovely 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom split-level condo (stair access only). With two levels of living space and two decks to enjoy the fresh mountain air and mountain view, the layout of this condo is one of its greatest features. The main floor features the fully stocked kitchen, living room with cozy gas log fireplace, primary bedroom and bathroom (double sinks, large soaking tub, shower stall) and half bath. The primary bedroom is spacious and inviting with the mountain view and access to the deck. The two other bedrooms and bathrooms are located downstairs as well as another deck to enjoy nature and fresh mountain air. 

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

We had such a great time! I wish we were staying longer! Everyone was so nice and helpful. The management team is great. Very nice and responsive. The unit is awesome and clean. The perfect size for our multi-generational family. The area offered great outdoor activities. We did take the G-Kids to the indoor pool & they enjoyed. A great time had by all!

Overall nice property. Very clean. We did not ski and did not come for that purpose. Not sure why VRBO makes you give a skiing a rating. I did notice a strong smell of the pilot light in the unit. It’s not the rotten egg smell but I can only describe that it must come from the pilot light. Lived the layout compared to other 3 bedroom units in Echota.

The Perfect Place

The condo itself was absolutely perfect. It was spotless, comfortable beds and furniture- fully equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need. The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful with views in every direction. We enjoyed the porch overlooking the mountains. We also enjoyed the pool area each evening. The location is convenient to everything!!!

House was overall dirty - dust on practically everything. Most dishes were dirty and had to be cleaned before we could even use them. WiFi was not reliable & had to be reset several times. Vacuum attachments left out on the floor when we arrived. Towels randomly placed in bathrooms. Mold and grime in showers. Overall, we were severely disappointed in this place & will likely not stay with Foscoe Rentals again.

The condo and furnishings were in great condition. The kids had a great time at the indoor pool - (you do have to drive to the indoor pool). Skiing and sledding are both 20-30 minutes away. We'd definitely come back to this same condo.

Great place to stay

Overall excellent experience. Kids loved the board games and reclinable sectional. The views from balcony were awesome. The road to get to property is very steep and windy but I guess you would expect that in the mountains. Make sure to bring extra bar soap and pillows—toilet paper too if you don’t like the very thin stuff. Water pressure in showers is low. There is no separate control for downstairs hvac so it can get cold downstairs and be very comfortable upstairs.

A very nice property

The condo furnishings were up-to-date. The beds were comfortable. The gas logs in the fireplace csme in handy Sheba it was 23 degrees outside! Our only complaint is that ALL of the downstairs rooms stayed very cold. The 2 small heaters that were provided barely warmed 1 bathroom each but did very little to warm the 2 bedrooms. Since 4 out of our party of 6 stayed downstairs it was quite a disappointment for them.

Great home away from home

Our family enjoyed every minute of our vacation in this home! The home itself was well appointed and decorated beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed the views, and loved being able to see the top of Grandfather Mountain from the deck. Our kids enjoyed the last few days of the outdoor pool season. The community is in a great central location and has beautiful views from the top of the ridgeline. We enjoyed hiking and trips to Grandfather Mt, the new Alpine roller coaster, and Blowing Rock. We will be back!

We stayed here while in town for a family members memorial service and were looking for a place my parents and extended family could stay together while still having space. It was perfect! Our family of 5 recently stayed here. We couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations, the pool and the neighborhood. We are already planning our return trip! Express check in/out made it super easy and convenient. The view was lovely from the porch in the morning and afternoon. It was close to everything, Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. We will stay here again!

Amazing view and central location

We enjoyed watching the sun rise over the mountains from the deck and we made our way to several hikes and waterfalls in the nearby area. The location was incredible!! My only gripes with our stay were that the cleaning crew was still present when we arrived, even though we arrived an hour after check-in. We’re still leery of being around strangers due to COVID but at least he was wearing a mask. There was still clumps of hair on the floor. Also the hair dryer was broken.

We Will be back with family . Very relaxing atmosphere. Only problem was could not get tv in living room to work , ended up downstairs in second bedroom To watch shows as to not awaken my husband , just to watch tv . I gave the cleaning crew a second bedroom to clean when they wouldn’t have had If the tv in the living room worked . Waaay too many remotes. Other than that small issue , it was great . Thsnk you .

Spacious, clean and well equipped

Nice unit! We stayed on quite a cold weekend and the basement where two of the bedrooms were never really warmed up. There were 2 space heaters but they couldn’t quite dispel the chill. The upstairs was cozy and we just hung up there except for night time.
