Authentic Mountain Cabin

Very enjoyable stay at this authentic Mountain cabin with great atmosphere. Nice firepit with great mountain views and creek in a quiet area. Cabin was very clean with comfortable bedding and everything you needed. Hosts were very helpful and accomodating. Hope to stay again soon. need

Cozy Creek Cabin

We had a wonder but too short stay at Cozy Cabin on Howard's Creek. We were in Boone for the King of the Mountain Soccer tournament and the cabin was the perfect location, less than 10 mins to Watauga HS and the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex. When my son wasn't on the soccer field he enjoyed fishing in the creek just steps from the cabin, while my older son had his own quiet retreat in the basement bedroom/family room to study for his AP exam. Sherry and Rick were amazing host from their homemade cookies to fishing tips. We would love to have had more time to explore and enjoy the cabin, which means we'll have to visit again.

Perfect place to stay for Skiing Families

The cabin was ideal for our family with 4 (2 kids) and located in the perfect place for our family to travel back and forth to App Ski Mt. The creek behind the cabin was a nice setting and peaceful as well. Sherry was so kind and attentive/easy to contact if needed. Highly recommend this place.

Loved the cozy warmth of this cabin!

Celebrated our 24th wedding Anniversary! We walked the stream, played in the snow, went skiing, enjoyed many breweries and visited plenty of amazing restaurants nearby! Highly recommended!

Perfect family getaway

Creek side cabin was the perfect family getaway. It was great proximity to many different activities including hiking and skiing. The owners were amazing and definitely made our stay a memorable one. It was decorated for Christmas and prior to our visit they were quick to respond to our questions. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Stay!

We stayed at Creekside Cabin over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful stay! Sherry and Rick were so responsive and answered all of our questions (and left warm cookies for us when we checked in, which were delicious and quickly eaten!) The kitchen had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving meal, and when we sat outside on the deck we could hear the river below. It was a great family vacation, and we will be back!

Perfect!

We have twins who are beginning their college tours. App State was college tour #1. We wanted a cabin in the mountains that could comfortably fit 4 people. When I found this place, I thought it was perfect. When we arrived, it was exactly what we saw online. Cozy. Welcoming. Relaxing. Quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for. The hosts were awesome! They were in contact with us the whole time and were readily available if we had any questions. I mentioned that our kids were touring ASU, the host was very sweet and left two ASU bandanas for them. Plus, some yummy cookies. My kids loved ASU, so who knows, we may be spending a lot more time at this sweet cabin over the next few years.

Cozy cabin in the trees

The Creekside Cabin delivered on all that was advertised and then some. The back porch with rocking chairs overlooking the creek was perfect after a day around town. The owners, Rick and Sherry, make you feel as though you're staying at a friend's house. With kids at ASU, this will be our first choice for accommodations.

Creekside Cabin was everything we had hoped! The property is beautiful with the creek right out back. The cabin itself was cozy, wonderfully equipped and immaculately clean. This cabin is practically perfect in every way.

There isn't a negative thing to say about this cabin or our stay, except i didn't get to enjoy it as much as i would have liked. I plan to stay again so i can sit in a rocker and listen to the creek more, use that lovely bucket of firewood provided (right down to kindling and marshmallow sticks), and sit by the fireplace longer. There are so many places to sit and listen to the creek, I want to try them all. This cozy cabin is made for peace and healing and the owners are very good with communication and information for your stay.

We love the High-Country area and all the outdoor adventures it offers. Why they chose this property

We also live on Howard's Creek and love the area. We wanted to purchase the cabin becaue of it's proximity to our home so we can use it for when our 5 children and their families come to visit in addition to being close by to be responsive to our guests.

What makes this property unique

The key feature of this property is the proximity to the creek so guests can enjoy the relaxing sounds and sights offered by the creek. Two large back decks, partially covered and partially open allow you to enjoy the creek rain or shine. The cabin is on a 2 acre parcel so there is lots of room for accessing the creek and exploring the wooded area. The inside of the cabin is cozy with a gas log fireplace, comfortable beds with down duvets and crisp linens. The cabin is located only 5 minutes from a major grocery store, 10 minutes from downtown Boone and 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, but it has the feel of a remote get-a-way!
