Akragas Home - Right in the center, on Via Atenea, with a view of the city
CIR 19084001C203991 CIN IT084001C2ZFO4DMJB
A majestic and modern apartment in the historic centre of Agrigento, at the foot of the statue of the famous writer Andrea Camilleri
Thanks to its excellent interior layout, it consists of: -1 very welcoming entryway -1 open-concept living room -1 bathroom -1 kitchen -2 separate double bedrooms equipped with every comfort
Located on Via Atenea, just a few minutes’ walk from most of the city’s attractions and a few kilometres by car from the province’s main points of interest
The first double bedroom features a king-size bed with memory foam pillows and mattress (top of the line).
The second double bedroom features a comfortable large sofa bed and also includes memory foam pillows.
The two bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen, and the living room are completely separate and offer excellent privacy.
Both bedrooms can accommodate up to 4 people in total (plus any infants who can be placed in the cot provided in the accommodation).
Upon your arrival, you’ll find your rooms ready for the night with high-quality, 100% cotton sheets and duvets that are completely hypoallergenic.
Inside the rooms, you’ll find: a complimentary welcome kit with shower gel, shampoo, intimate hygiene products, a shower cap, and hand soap; a set of three towels for each guest (large, medium, and small).
In the closets of each bedroom, you’ll find: twin-size sheets, pillowcases, and two pillows.
Additionally, both bedrooms feature a small nook with a fold-away desk where you can work in complete privacy.
The living room, which is the heart of the apartment, is a real gem; it’s modern and very bright thanks to the two large windows, fitted with the best window frames on the market to help insulate the apartment from outside noise (caused by the various businesses in the historic centre).
It features a table where you can enjoy a convivial moment sharing lunch or dinner with friends or your partner, as well as a comfortable, modern sofa where you can relax while streaming a film thanks to the latest-generation smart TV.
The kitchen is equipped with every amenity and all the latest appliances, including an oven, refrigerator, microwave, a Nespresso coffee machine with a few complimentary capsules, an electric kettle, and pots and pans for every need. Additionally, due to space constraints, the washing machine has been placed in the kitchen.
There is one bathroom with all amenities and a deluxe, windowed shower stall—it’s truly very cosy.
The apartment has been carefully designed down to the smallest detail with stylish elements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and make you feel right at home!
The highlight of the apartment is its prime location in the historic centre on Agrigento’s famous Via Atenea (of course, given its central location, it’s normal to expect some noise from the nightlife on weekends) and also by the fact that it is equipped with all the necessary amenities for both a short stay of a few days and a long-term stay (up to 29 days; beyond that, reservations will still be accepted, but you’ll need to sign a temporary lease at check-in).
From one side of the apartment, you have a view of Via Pirandello, where you can see the bell tower and the Church of the Immaculate Conception, as well as many of Agrigento’s nightlife spots; additionally, from bedroom 2, there’s a splendid view of the city and the sea from a window.
On the other side of the apartment, you’ll find a view of the magical historic centre, which is also full of nightlife spots—both in summer and winter!
- PARKING
Just off Via Atenea, there are numerous on-street parking spots (in the blue-line zones) and in the police station car park, just a 5-minute walk from the apartment. There’s also a paid, secure multistorey car park at Via Empedocle 29, just a 10-minute walk away. (I’ll give you all the info you need via chat so you can easily park your car just a 5-minute walk from the property!)
- IMPORTANT INFO
The apartment is for the exclusive use of your booking, and the spaces will not be shared with anyone else.
A booking for TWO PEOPLE includes use of ONLY ONE of the bedrooms; to use both bedrooms, you must book for a minimum

The Akragas home was spacious , room was clean though we had to wash any of the dishes we initially want to use. The location is nicely located. Church bells ring outside but it’s quiet at night. Bus line is near by as well. We truly enjoyed staying here during our time in Agrigento!!
Had a great time, location can’t be beat, and Carmelo was super helpful/quick to respond. Go to Pasticceria Infurna and get the brioche with pistachio crème.
The apartment was perfectly placed within walking distance of everything wonderful. It was clean, easy, well stocked and Carmelo was easy to communicate with. Overall a great experience.
Bright and spacious apartment right on the main street in Agrigento. It couldn't have been better. Carmelo was an excellent host who communicated very quickly and was super helpful. Thank you Carmelo!
This apartment could not be better situated and the owner is exceptionally good at communicating, and incredibly friendly.
While we would stay there again any time we were back in Agrigento, there are a few things worth mentioning which may be challenging for other people:
It is not a quiet street and you will hear street noises all night. In the middle of the night I pulled out some earplugs that I always travel with and that made all of the difference.
Also, we were there during a chilly time of year and the place has restrictions on when it can turn on the heat. The owner was incredibly responsive when we texted and the heat went on immediately but it does turn off between 1130AM and 7PM, per law.
I want to again underscore how much we loved the location and the owner - just to let you know what it was like for us.
