Villa Aldia White has a special design heritage as the work of famed Italian architect Simone Micheli, a graduate from the Florence School of Architecture, where he now teaches. Micheli set up his own design company in 1990 with the avowed aim to “build sustainable works to qualify the landscape” and at Villa Aldia White that landscape centres on panoramic views of Tavolara.

The villa is a supremely stylish home, furnished with panache, with air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi and four hours of daily housekeeping with additional staff available on request.

However, unlike those star-studded resorts further north in the same Gallura region, Puntaldia flies delightfully under the radar.
