Wonderful!

We loved this cottage on the sea! We spent evenings on the deck enjoying the view. The cottage was the perfect size for the 4 of us. We loved the comfortable seating and dining areas. We would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful view of Celtic Sea

Fantastic location. Close to Garryvoe Hotel. Be sure to empty the water tank in the dryer often and clean the lint tray. Be sure to get clear instructions on how to use the showers in the bathrooms. We loved the kitchen. There is no better view out a window than in this property. We would return here definitely.

August Holiday at Wavecrest

Finding a holiday home on one level for my access needs is hard. We found Wavecrest on Trident and really liked the look of the house and its location. We were not disappointed when we arrived. The house is furnished to a good standard. Both bathrooms are easy to use. The deck at the front of the house is super for sitting out and the front porch is lovely spot to read on a wet or cold day. The kitchen is well equipped with a good range of plates and cocking utensils. Any queries during our stay were detail with promptly. We very much intend to return. The kitchen drawers were hard to open.

Another superb stay

This is our third visit to the property in three years. We cannot fault the location, facilities and helpful ness of both Anna and Maria. There are lots of things to do in the surrounding area or you just want to relax enjoy the beach and all that is on offer there it is a perfect retreat. Thank you and we aim to back next year.

A week at the shore

Spent a week in Oct here while some family members attende Ballymaloe cooking school. Great location with excellent water views. Property manger was very quick to answer questions. We did have to extend our stay as there is no check ins on Sunday. That was an unexpected cost.

Fabulous!

The property was so cute and the location couldn’t be beat. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed having a drink on the deck each evening enjoying the sea view. We would recommend this property to everyone.

We enjoyed

We enjoyed it very much, it was quiet and cosy. The seaside is wonderful and nice for longer walks, specially the cliff walk nearby. We wanted to cook a fish soup, there was no greater pot - that was the only thing.

A lovely Irish cottage by the sea

Comfortable for four adults, well equipped and furnished, wonderful view, loved the deck and the beach promenade, enjoyed touring the nearby countryside. Instructions for using the major appliances and showers would be helpful. More hooks for hanging clothes in the main bedroom and maybe a shelf in each bathroom would be useful. Regarding the door locks, please let North American guests know that you have to raise the lever and hold it firmly while turning the key.

Fabulous cottage

The cottage is in an excellent location perfect for accessing the beach. It has great facilities and has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. It makes for a good base for travelling to local establishments such as Ballymaloe and surrounding towns.

Such a cute cottage

Great stay! Location is a bit secluded but that is not a bad thing. Beds were comfortable and the view from the porch is beautiful! Great response time from the property manager answering questions/concerns. Would definitely stay at this location again.

A beautiful cottage by the Sea.

If you have ever wanted to stay in a exquisitely decorated cottage by the sea in Ireland, WaveCrest Cottage, Co. Cork is a perfect option. The cottage has it all. It’s a mix of old world charm with new world essentials. It has direct access to the beach and has a spacious sea facing veranda. You will be looking straight at the Ballycotton Lighthouse from the master bedroom window, it’s magnificent. I can imagine that a summer vacation here would truly be, bliss. I stayed during the winter months, it had it’s own charm, even if it was freezing outside. The cottage was so cosy and warm to return home to after a day out and about. There are many fine dining restaurants, cafés and pubs in the Garryvoe and Ballycotton area if ever you feel like eating out. You can find most of them online where you will see the menus and make a reservation ahead of time. I would most definitely recommend keeping WaveCtest Cottage in your “Travel Bucket List” file for when you come to Ireland, Co. Cork. Be it for a long weekend or a full on vacation, it is beautiful there. The length of stay !

Perfect for a work or holiday stay!

It’s obvious that the owner of Wavecrest is very passionate about this property as a lot of thought has gone into its presentation. We booked the place for a work stay but it felt more of a holiday! The location faces the beach with stunning coastal views. The property itself has been thoughtfully decorated and is very relaxing. Every detail has been considered with everything you need for your stay. There is plenty of parking on the private drive. There was a nice basket waiting for our arrival containing bread, milk, eggs, butter, cakes etc and a bottle of wine which was a nice touch! I would not hesitate to book this property again or recommend it to others.
