About this property

A beautiful 17th Century home from home in the idyllic Norfolk's countryside

Edingthorpe Hall is a beautiful Jacobean Hall from the early 1600s built on over half an acre of land.
Well situated between the Norfolk coast and the Broads, the house offers ample space, including two living rooms, wood burning stoves, a large dining room, 5 double bedrooms, playroom & 5 bathrooms (3 en-suite).
The Hall was the subject of a complete programme of renovation and faithful restoration in the 1990s, which was carried out with great care to preserve and enhance as many of the original features as possible.
Since we bought it in 2018, we continue to undertake further works to provide the best experience to our guests.
Edingthorpe Hall offers the perfect balance between the warmth of a historic building with modern living – including broadband internet, central heating throughout, as well as secondary glazing in all bedrooms.

About the host

Hello!

We completely fell in love with Norfolk when we first visited the area. So much that we bought a cottage near Cromer. Years later we found the most incredible place: Edingthorpe Hall.

We love hosting and sharing the hall with our guests. We can't think of a better place where to build long lasting memories.

We live in Hertfordshire with our two daughters and pets and hoping to move permanently to Norfolk in the near future

Why they chose this property

You don't own a place like Edingthorpe Hall - you are just its custodian.

Buying this house was beyond our wildest dreams, and we are super proud of having the opportunity to look after such incredible historical building.

Edingthorpe Hall is the perfect setting where to spend time with friends or family: so many ample rooms to get together but also lots of cozy corners where to spend time on your own.

Its location is really ideal: surrounded by countryside whilst close to all the amenities. The perfect balance to build long lasting memories.

What makes this property unique

Edingthorpe Hall is full of history - and full of quirks, which makes it a unique experience. We love everything about it: from spending an evening in front of the wood burning stove, to enjoying the afternoon sun in the garden.

The best place to really switch off and relax.
