Had a really lovely stay here, the place felt fresh, well looked after and exactly as described. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was for such a central London location and slept really well. Great little pub a few doors down too, the food was a highlight. Communication was smooth throughout and we would happily stay again.
Beautiful home, very communicative host, and right next to plenty of great cafes and bus stops! The body was gracious and understanding enough to let us drop our bags off early and even check out a bit late.
The host was helpful and sent information on area transportation and restaurants located within short walks. Nicely upgraded house. We stayed for 3 weeks- going on several day trips- and nice to have one spot to call home!
Mellissa’s gorgeous home was the perfect place for our stay in London. The house was impeccably decorated with full amenities. The home is in a safe neighborhood with a police station nearby as well as many eateries. Mellissa was a gracious and responsive host. We had a comedy of errors on our side with giving the driver the pin to the same address in Kingston. Coupled with illness and communication gaffs which caused a chaotic arrival. Mellissa took it all in stride, remained calm and polite and guided us to and in the property without issue, which we deeply appreciate. We had comfortable and inviting bedrooms with loads of storage to stay organized. The lovely decorated bathrooms had nice hot showers and fluffy towels. The kitchen with beautiful appliances was a phenomenal spot to gather to have tea and plan our daily adventures. Our stay at Mellissa’s couldn’t have been better, it was simply perfect and enchanting! Thank you for being a wonderful host to us.
Great house well situated to transport, shops, central London. Newly & beautifully renovated. Host was a great communicator and all needs were catered for. Would stay again.
The accomodations were perfect for a small family vacation looking for a well maintained and classically elegant home away from home. The hostess was exceptionally responsive and prompt in replying to any inquiry. We felt well supported in every step of the booking, access to the townhouse, and checkout. 10/10

Plenty of space. Lovely flat. Very nicely decorated and a pleasure to stay at. Convenient to rail station, so travel was easy! Really enjoyed our stay, and the host was in great contact regarding our needs.
We had an amazing stay at Mellissa's property. She was super communicative, helpful, and the home was clean and beautiful. It was the perfect accommodation for our girls' trip to London.

This was a beautiful place which was very comfortable for my spouse, two young kids and mom. Spacious, comfortable and very well decorated and aesthetically pleasing. It had everything we needed to cook and have a comfortable stay. The fenced in outdoor space was amazing for my kids to play in and keep safe. The host was very easy to communicate with, rapid, responsive and kind. Local amenities helpful including pubs and groceries nearby. Wound recommend! We all enjoyed our stay.
Great stay and awesome attentive owner. Located within a mile from lots of restaurants abs within 3-4 miles from many of the main attractions. Very clean house. Worked very well.
House is in nice condition. Pub next door is good. Battersea Park near by great too. Good access to transport via Clapham Jumction and various bus routes.
We were pleasantly surprised to see that the listing lived up to the pictures. The facilities were very updated. The local pub was fantastic. It was also super easy to work with the owner was super easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay.
My family and I stayed for a few days in June. The property was gorgeous with an adorable little back yard. The home was completely renovated and clean. A few doors down there was a nice pub we tried for dinner one night and it was an easy walk to the tube. There were also several restaurants and stores on the way to the tube so that was helpful. Would definitely stay again!
Warm, cosy house. Great location to get anywhere by train. Great to stay In or go out to great restaurants . Be Mellissa is a great host. Small room in the back with weights was ideal for me.
The home is absolutely beautiful, lots of natural light, stunning aesthetic. Communication with the property owner was incredible. Responded very quick. She helped us every step of the way, answering questions about London, helped us with rental car & parking. Safe neighborhood. Easy walk to restaurants & grocery. If you’re travelling into london everyday, take the train! Just 2 stops and you will arrive at Waterloo station which is the london eye.
Would definitely book again.
Melissa was one of the best hosts we had the pleasure to stay with, she helped accommodate some requests we had and helped make our arrival with a toddler very easy.
Her house is beautiful and well designed that made our living, working and tourist agenda so easy.
Easy location to get around London, get supplies and go out as well as eat in and hang out.

First time to visit London from Texas. Had to get used to most places not having central air conditioning. Loved that we were able to open back door in kitchen and not have to worry to much about flying insects, mosquitoes, coming in. Only had one fly come in. Bedrooms were comfortable to sleep in. Small issue with the third floor shower but would not stop me from renting house again if or when we come back to London.

The host could not have been nicer. Great communication and property guide/instructions which made the experience friendly and organized.The space within the home was good and exactly as described.However, the property was a little run down considering its recent renovation which was disappointing and therefore didn’t feel overly clean mainly due to marked walls and odd areas of water damage at the upstairs large window. The kitchen required more utensils and plates etc but I would say it was manageable. The sheets and towels felt like they needed updating too.The pub being three or so doors away was noisy especially Thursday-Saturday nights and general street noisy was also surprisingly noisy as well from both cars/bikes and trains.The experience overall was fine however it would not be a property I would go back to or recommend unfortunately. Especially for a long period as we stayed - 3 weeks.But again the host was very friendly and helpful.

I’ve taken your comments on board and have addressed each of the points you raised. The marked walls have been repainted, the water staining around the upstairs window has been resolved, linens and towels have been updated, and I’ve added more kitchen utensils and plates. I’ve also reviewed the cleaning process to ensure everything feels fresh and well cared for on arrival.
The home benefits from double glazing, and while there is the gentle hum of London as expected in a central location, this has not been raised as a concern by previous guests but I have bought some ear plugs for future guests just in case.
Thank you again for your feedback, it’s helped me continue to refine the experience.

I bought the house back in 2008. In 2020 we did a huge renovation on the property extending it both out and up, bringing a lot more light into the house and giving it a modern but homely feel.
Why they chose this property
Battersea park is 10 minutes to your left and Clapham Common is 10 minutes walk to your right. My family are also from Hampshire and so that means my house was only a train ride away from the countryside was a real selling point.
