Amazing 7 Bedroom Chalet with Hot Tub, nr Skiing

Chalet Balmat is a stunning jaw dropping new build, in the Grand Massif. The interior is finished to an extremely high standard - with vintage design cues and a rustic mountain edge, Balmat seeks to provide the most authentic of alpine experiences with a full package of modern amenities. It is named after Jacques Balmat, the famous local mountain guide who completed the first successful ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786.

Situated 2km above the village of Morillon, just a few minutes drive from the ski lift connecting you to the entire Grand Massif domain, namely Samoens, Flaine and Sixt Fer-a-Cheval. This home provides you with a tranquil haven with incredible views, away from the hustle and bustle of the village below, yet close enough that guests can easily access restaurants, cafés and bars nearby.

This wonderful chalet comfortably sleeps 14 in beds and upon request, all rooms have the possibility of being set up as twin bedrooms or king-sized doubles. Five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and two of the smaller bedrooms share a well-proportioned shower room.

Whether guests spend the day skiing, mountain biking or simply relaxing indoors, this is the perfect setting to put your feet up, enjoy a fondue, or melt away with a glass of champagne in the outdoor hot tub.

Inside, guests can find their own space to chill out, in either one of the two living spaces with two fully equipped kitchens, glass fronted woodburners and televisions to snuggle up to a movie !

Upon request, the dining tables can be joined together to seat 14 people. Alternativley families can enjoy privacy and eat in separate dining areas.

Chalet Balmat is located above Morillon village and within a practical distance to the ski lift. The location is perfect for privacy and to enjoy an authentic mountain experience. It takes less than 10 minutes by car to reach the ‘Telecabine de Morillon’ lift connecting you to the Grand Massif ski domain in winter, which boasts some of the best skiing in the world. Suitable for all levels, there is over 275km of piste and 139 slopes to explore and plenty of off-piste for more advanced skiers. In the summer, this area is a hub for adventure sports such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing and paragliding.

A car is essential at this chalet. However for larger groups, or those with a scattered arrival time, you may additionally opt for a transfer service directly from Geneva Airport, which will take you directly to the chalet. For bookings between November – April, we recommend that you have a 4×4 or at the very least, snow chains in your car. The road is ploughed 2 – 3 times daily but it is always a good idea to arrive prepared for heavy snow conditions. if it snows heavily during the daytime. It is legal requirement in the French Alps to come equipped with snow chains that specifically fit you vehicle

Other details:
A car is essential to get around. The chalet is located above the main village. It takes around 5 minutes to reach the ski lift and snow chains may be required during periods of heavy snow. There is no ski bus.

Though rare - due to the mountain location - it is also possible that the wi-fi internet is at times slower depending on weather and time of year.

Pet Policy:
We are dog-friendly and can accept one small/medium, well behaved & house trained dog at an extra charge of €100. We ask that all furry guests are kept out of bedrooms and prevented from climbing onto furniture. All dog litter should be removed from exterior spaces (garden, porch, patio and green spaces around the property). Pets must be declared at the time of booking, with details including age, breed, size and temperament.
